5/2/2006 4:28:46 PM
they are full
5/2/2006 4:33:48 PM
ivy commons is awesome brandi i moved in last august and me and my roommate renewed our lease so we're gonna live there this year too
5/2/2006 4:43:13 PM
I went by the leasing office today and they said they will most likely be able to get me a 1 bedroom sometime in my requested dates (May 31st-July 31st move-in) and the process will be expedited if I bring in my check stub/200 dollar deposit tomorrow so I don't know about how full they are.I would love to live there. Seems like a really great deal.
5/2/2006 4:45:14 PM
Live there if you like bugs.
5/2/2006 4:54:04 PM
ive never had problems with bugs in my apartment..sure there will be a fly here and there if we accidently leave our balcony door open for a few minutes or our front door
5/2/2006 4:57:26 PM
i also never had any issues with bugs at ivy commons. loved the place.
5/2/2006 4:59:02 PM
i've almost lived there twice now and i dont think its totally out of the question sometime in the future[Edited on May 2, 2006 at 5:13 PM. Reason : k]

I just got an apartment there for next year. Definately turn in that $200 deposit. Thats what I did and my application got put on the top since I was the only one with money turned in.
5/2/2006 6:23:57 PM
no bugs here.it's pretty convenient as far as getting to campus goes.
5/2/2006 6:34:27 PM
pretty much the best place for taking the bus to campus. i did have a few more bugs than i do at my new place in FL, but nothing too terrible on the norm.
5/2/2006 6:35:20 PM
omfg look at all the people who are gonna live here that are on tww..lets have a tww party
5/2/2006 7:05:18 PM
I loved it there. It's so close to campus, rent wasn't bad, the tarheel company that leases them never gave me problems, and it's pretty quiet compared to a place like Preiss company apartments.I'm thinking about moving back in a few months.]
5/2/2006 7:07:35 PM
My place is the heat. I've been here about a year and just renewed my lease.
5/3/2006 8:24:19 AM
gorman crossings > ivey commons imho
5/3/2006 11:20:07 AM
Ivy Commons is great as long as you don't live right next to the hispanic community with their Sunday morning fiestas.
5/3/2006 11:23:48 AM
been living here a yr..it's pretty cool..Ammons pittman is way better than Wilson properties (Avery close)..houses are decent..parking scene is cool..
5/3/2006 11:36:19 AM
Yeah I live here too. Got a slight drain fly problem, but that's easily treated with bleach and raid. It's close enough to walk to campus (which I do all the time) and the frat court bus stops out front and just behind the complex (meaning quick way to or from school if you are in a hurry). It's a deal, the apartments are nice and fairly efficient, and the management isn't terrible.
5/3/2006 12:17:06 PM
I dunno but they sent me a flyer.
5/3/2006 7:08:01 PM
i've lived there almost a year in a 1BR. i renewed my lease. i like it. it's cheap, convenient and the couple of times i needed to deal with the landlords, they were fine.[Edited on May 3, 2006 at 7:15 PM. Reason : no probs with bugs, btw]
5/3/2006 7:15:16 PM
I got my place!! A one bedroom on the second floor. I didn't want to be on the first floor. I move in June 16th-- Watch out Ivy Commons folks.
5/3/2006 8:19:42 PM
what is the rent/utilities like for a 1BR at ivy commons?
5/3/2006 9:20:54 PM
while the balcony is nicer than the brick porch, not moving you shit up and down stairs is well worth being on the first floor.
5/3/2006 9:28:06 PM
which one did you get?Im supposed to sign a lease on Friday
5/3/2006 9:35:01 PM
I didn't want to be on the first floor for safety reasons...All I know is that rent is 460 for a one bedroom AND you get a washer and dryer in your room..Not a bad size either. I'm in 3530. [Edited on May 3, 2006 at 9:39 PM. Reason : I sign the lease sometime next week. Whenever I can get up there- Next Tues prob]
5/3/2006 9:38:31 PM
5/3/2006 10:39:38 PM
Yep-- I'm really excited!! So I expect all ya'll do be there on June 16th to help me move in.
5/4/2006 12:32:48 PM
5/4/2006 12:36:28 PM
Whyzatt? I sleep through anything anyway if it's loud or something.
5/4/2006 12:50:48 PM
The "hispanic community" right across the hedge is fond of fiestas early on Sundays.Oh, and don't keep valuables in your car, especially faceplates for aftermarket stereos. My car was broken into the first fucking night here, and I've seen at least 5 other cars with broken windows in the parking lots.
5/4/2006 12:53:52 PM
Great- Well my car has its regular market CD player... Although it is a 2006 and metallic blue... so it stands out.... But I guess you face that risk anywhere. In any case-- this is my first time living alone. Thank you for all the info ParksNrec[Edited on May 4, 2006 at 1:01 PM. Reason : :O]
5/4/2006 1:01:09 PM
Well, okay, the trick about not getting your car broken into is:1) Lock it. (Haha @ kimslackey)2) Don't leave anything in there, ever.Take stuff into your apartment if it's worth more than a couple bucks.
5/4/2006 3:50:25 PM
Ha. I remember when cars were being broken into here. They hit a lot of Mustangs. We never have these problems...maybe because we're not near Crest...
5/4/2006 4:23:48 PM
5/4/2006 4:40:28 PM
haha yea we dont have any problems here either..ive accidently left one of my windows down for an hr while i was up at my apartment i live in 3200
5/4/2006 5:57:55 PM
my bf had his car broken into for his sirius radio when he lived therebut otherwise it was great
5/4/2006 6:18:17 PM
oops meant 3500 not 3200 lol
5/4/2006 7:15:13 PM
the end near crest is a lot shittier than the avent ferry end
5/4/2006 7:42:21 PM
Oh well... Earplugs... and safety precautions for car...But a car can get broken in to anywhere in that area... so I may be due. I was just happy to get any end.. You can't beat that price and the w/d. Plus I got the room in less than 24 hours after I expressed interest & now I don't have to worry about finding another place or a roomate. Plus I get to FINALLY decorate my own place!
5/4/2006 8:22:18 PM
^i think gorman crossing is better...they just renovated all the apartments and they also come with a washer dryer(285/month only 1 roomate)[Edited on May 4, 2006 at 8:28 PM. Reason : ^congrats on your new place though, i might still live there eventually]
5/4/2006 8:27:44 PM
i can't drive through there because of the speed bumps
5/4/2006 8:44:58 PM
yea the speed bumps are a bit extreme
5/4/2006 8:45:26 PM
Kensington Park is the best place to live on Avent Ferry Road.
5/4/2006 8:47:07 PM
i have a friend that lives there.
5/4/2006 8:49:08 PM
ultraStop being mean in every thread. lolDoes your friend like it Justin?[Edited on May 5, 2006 at 8:35 AM. Reason : ohhh]

5/5/2006 9:44:52 AM
