from what i've seen so far, i'd take Roman Gabriel over Philip Riversand to not include Dave and Don Buckley is a travesty.
5/1/2006 12:19:38 AM
no manny?
5/1/2006 12:19:47 AM
OL - Derek Morris
5/1/2006 12:25:03 AM
^^Good call on Dave and Don, but it is Buckey, not Buckley. Dave is close friend of the family and was my mentor at church.

there's a DE named Jesse something that was really good.there was also a DT named Ricky Logo that was the crown prince of somewhere, but he gave it up to go to college.um. i don't know much about the buckley twins but i agree with axl that they were great. there was another guy who was a QB and K that would take over games...name escapes me.how about haywood jeffries? he was good.anyways, lots of great players over the years, we're probably just too young to remember them.oh yeah, joe montana almost came here to play basketball.and eric swann almost came here, don't remember what the problem was.
5/1/2006 12:26:03 AM
how you have koren robinson over jericho is beyond me
5/1/2006 12:29:08 AM
terrence holt

marc primanti???And is this just on their college careers or careers in general?Because there is no way just college that Rivers isn't tops.[Edited on May 1, 2006 at 12:32 AM. Reason : c][Edited on May 1, 2006 at 12:32 AM. Reason : marc]

You're gonna want Dick Christy (HB) on there. Johnny Evans, punter. And it's Haywood Jeffires, not Jeffries.

haha johnny evans sister was my teacher in high school
5/1/2006 12:42:23 AM
Koren was a beast in college, i go back and forth b/t K-rob and Holt for best performance at NC stateholt was a consistent player who was great and k rob was just explosive (rivers would just throw it up and he'd get it)
5/1/2006 12:43:03 AM
Holt is number one. There's no question. And he was just as explosive as Koren, if not more so.[Edited on May 1, 2006 at 12:44 AM. Reason : .]

what about FB?
5/1/2006 12:51:11 AM
Id probably add Nas Worthen at WR and Jesse Campbell at DL or was he a LB?
5/1/2006 12:52:57 AM
Dennis Byrd, my old high school anatomy teacher, is definately on the list...he's a funny guy.[Edited on May 1, 2006 at 12:53 AM. Reason : _]
5/1/2006 12:53:10 AM
You can't make that list without mentioning Roman Gabriel (Although I guess you can't put him above Rivers)And I'd put Eddie Goines above Haywood Jeffires (the correct spelling... I believe) anyday[Edited on May 1, 2006 at 1:01 AM. Reason : ]

if krob had stayed, he would have destroyed holt's records, but holt is def #1and based on talent alone, TA would be on that list
5/1/2006 2:04:23 AM
TA can suck a dick. Ted brown all the wayyou can watch Roman Gabriel in movies[Edited on May 1, 2006 at 2:12 AM. Reason : dasf]
5/1/2006 2:10:36 AM
I'd like to think Toney and Andre can work their way onto that list as a tandem in 2 years or so. Fuck TA, but I was watching some videos with him in it a few weeks ago and he was absolutely disgusting. He was the perfect combo of power, speed, and he had moves to top it all off....incredibly fluid hips. Too bad he got hurt every time he ran for more than 10 yards.

DB: Dick Idol...only because he's my uncle and he played on the famed white shoes D with Chuck back in the day.
5/1/2006 3:12:42 AM
dick idol sounds like a white guy. They outlawed white DBs.
5/1/2006 3:19:04 AM
Rashon Spikes and Eric Leak at every other position...[/thread]
5/1/2006 6:28:20 AM
5/1/2006 8:30:21 AM
^i dont think hes breaking it down position by position, just units. And i would agree with that list. If Tulloch had stayed for his senior year, i would have put him above Thunder Dan......although Thunder Dan was nasty
5/1/2006 8:49:55 AM
WR- Mike Quick
5/1/2006 8:52:36 AM
i went to high school with ted brown's nephew. He played tailback for my high school (thomasville high), but didnt really go anywhere...went to shaw to play for a little bit, but dropped out. he was a pretty decent high school back, but nothing outstanding.
5/1/2006 9:43:28 AM
I might would go Sean Locklear over Chris Colmer. Sean played each year and different positions. Colmer, while solid, had the misfortune of missing a season with injury and didn't come back nearly as effective as he was.And no the Sean choice is not based on his performance with the Seahawks, it was more his wide-range of abilities here at State(plus the fact he was a walk-on) and his ability and willingness to change positions for us each year.
