so i was hoping it would be good cuz its from the jim henson company, but it wasnt. it just couldnt capture my attention with its mediocre plot, non-memorable characters, and the like.some ppl aparently liked all the bluescreen work for the artistic style, but that wasnt even doing it for me. OH WELL.

been a whilebut i think it was just the overall theme of the movie was good.the thing that captivated me was the artwork. that was good enough for me to enjoy it i guess.i'm an engineering major

me and the gf saw it after reading the old thread. They built it up to be this generations 'Labyrinth' and 'Never Ending Story', but it wasnt even close. decent movie because of the artwork, but the movie as a whole couldnt hold my attention.

i seriously did, and even did mirror and mask alone just in case ppl put a space in. i did again today and it came up no prob. dont ask me. you know cyrion dont roll like that. perhaps i missed a letter while typing fast or something.i rented NL's Barely Legal afterwards, which was more enjoyable. quite the contrast though.

Yeah, like I said, it doesn't matter. But there is that thread if you're interested in seeing what some people thought.Apparently Gaiman ran into some serious budgetary problems in filming, and had to write around major plot points during production. That's his explanation for the nonexistant plot, at least. It's pretty, though. He's got a new one with Matthew Vaughn directing, the film he dropped X3 for, so hopefully that will be better.

word, it had potential. i read some of that on imdb too. perhaps ill give him another chance.

Well, American Gods is one of the best books I've ever read. But I think Sandman is kind of lame. At least up until the tenth book or so.

This movie was kind of weird because it was kind of boring at times but something about it kept me watching it. The characters further into the movie really caught my attention, and I especially liked the giants in the air. I think like spookyjon said it could have done better with the execution. Overall it was kind of bizarre and it was one of those movies that while I'm watching it I'm like "okay this is kind of slow" but then afterward I liked it all right overall. I would definitely recommend it regardless because of how different it is, and some people may really love it. We kind of thought of it as a Mayazaki film in real life, although only in regard to the characters, rather than the lack of engaging storyline.

i enjoyed it but it could have been done a lot better.the best scenes of this movie are the ones that aren't in the dream world. they actually got people who can act well but they cram the movie with so many bizarre cgi creatures and liquid effects that the acting doesn't really have the effect it should have.i'll also note that the music for this movie is fucking amazing.

liked the movie a lot. had its holes and hearing that things got cut because of budget really makes sense. but overall I thought it was good. would like to see more of today's movies show even a fraction of the creativity that Mirrormask showed.

I thought the acting was well done, as was most of the CGI and artistic effects (I took issue with some of the scenes with the lighting that made things hazy but that's just me).I was thoroughly however dissapointed with the Plot. Neil Gaiman of neverwhere, smoke and mirrors (short stories) and others..........didn't seem to really be anywhere in the plot. It was medicore and cheesy in my opinion.Personally I would have preferred a much more twisted, and dark plot with the same artistry and even same characters/actors. That's my .02
