i was just thinking about this.

Manny is predicted somewhere around 22/23...

if theres anyway he's available at 27, I wouldnt doubt for a second that we'd pick him, considering we dont really have a desperate need for anyone and that Foxy is a D-minded coach and we've picked defense in the 1st round for like the past 5 years.

wishful thinking but i really just think we need an NCState player out there.

There is no substitution for in game performance. If White is there the Panthers have to take him, he is a bruiser who could certainly handle the load the Foster needs taken off his back.

LenDale white is a steal at 27, he's injured right now, but if Vince Young hadn't made Swiss Cheese out of the USC defense (and every other defense he faced), LenDale is the Rose Bowl MVP, against a nasty Texas D. Keep in mind that USC's D wasn't anywhere close to as good as UT's.

The Panthers will trade up and draft D'Angelo Williams of Memphis or Laurence Maroney of Minnesota... they don't have to go too far and the Panthers hav e ahistory of draft day trades.
