I think we could almost eliminate that crap if moronic professors, university officials, etc, etc would use the CC line instead of making your email visible to every person on their mailing list. All it takes is for there to be one genius on a mass-mailing list who doesn't understand the meaning of virus scan and everybody's inbox is full of garbage. Anytime I get a mass email like that I send a reply telling the sender to get a clue about email before they expose half the campus to Supur size sau5age v1aGRa!!!! emails.

I dont get alot of these at my primary work mail address since i'm pretty good at keeping the address out of the hands of the internet.

However the postmaster account does occasionally get some of these. Right now the spam filter doesn't catch it b/c its an embeded picture and the filter is based on text searching.

I give it a little more time till it starts getting picked up b/c XBL+SBL and other dnsbl's

I get the same emails, but not to my ncsu address. Out of curiousity, I checked a few of the stocks mentioned in the emails the next day, and sure enough one had gone up 86%. Still can't say I'd ever invest in them. Most of them have gone up, and come right back down.

Never used sharebuilder. The email address I'm receiving them on is registered on a few sites, but they're all reputable (or are supposed to be). The stock emails are always from a random address though. Thunderbird almost always catches them and marks them as junk.

I keep getting emails from random names/addresses that only have .gif attachments on them. One said something about donkeys and another about trees...And I only started getting them after I got an e-mail from Zspotlight... And I get about 13 a day.

I never get any spam in my unity account. I checked it today for the first time in like 3 months, and the only thing there was an emai to myself for some class I had taken. I have been getting spam in my Gmail acct though (which is irritating because thats my primary account). Bunch of random porno spam. At least it goes to the spam box instead of the inbox.
