Alright, so this is an idea I've had for awhile...so it may be bad or goodImagine if there was a theme park where for a set fee visitors get to live out their favorite horror movie , not as the bad guy (or gals or people), but as the survivors. Of course, no one would get hurt. This would be a like a haunted house on steroids. You could choose for instance whether to do a Halloween, Psycho, Zombie Scenario, even Frankenstein situation. I am guessing we could include some survival horror game scenarios like Alone in the Dark.Comments?[Edited on April 25, 2006 at 4:01 PM. Reason : .]

Unfortunately, it would never work in the United States with the way parks are subject to litigation. Now, overseas on the other hand... They've got some crazy stuff in parks over there.

^crazy stuff like what?

isn't that more or less what Westworld was aboutexcept replace horror movies with historical scenesWE ALL KNOW HOW WELL THAT TURNED OUT

I still think we could a lot better than "Westworld"That sounds terribly boring anyway, 'Historical Scenes'
4/25/2006 5:15:29 PM
And don't forget the sequel "Futureworld"

I severly doubt it would be scary at all since you know it is all fake. Now if it were a game or something that would be cool. Like maybe if there was some kind of zombie survival-horror type thing where you have a really big area with different buildings set up like a small town or even like a college campus. You could go in and the first few hours would be like normal, then all shit breaks loose and you have to try and survive for like a set number of days or something.[Edited on April 25, 2006 at 6:19 PM. There is a game like that. I saw a show on Discovery Channel about it.It was lame.

Wraith, that's a good idea.I think that would be the same cost as climbing Mt. Everest because of the amount of money for insurance, legal and of course, actors and make-up.
4/25/2006 6:54:05 PM
That's a fairly cool idea and all but you could never make a sound business model out of it.

just wait till robots are developed.
4/25/2006 7:07:22 PM
Well it might cost less if you got lots of people to do it. Like you filled up the entire "town" or "campus" or whatever with as many people as there would normally be and if they got "bitten" (or marked or something) they will be replaced with actor zombies. It would suck if you got bitten really early though, but I'm sure there would be some kind of refund or coupon or something if you did. In fact, there could even be a prize if you survived the full time or if you were the last survivor.

Wraith, I saw a Sliders where they had a game like that once
4/25/2006 10:48:34 PM
except no zombies and people really got killed
4/25/2006 10:49:14 PM
Yeah I remember that episode, if you won you got $1,000,000 but nobody ever won. I think that was the one when the professor went blind.
4/25/2006 11:18:21 PM
there would be some douche who just runs around pullin the masks off the actors or somethin. those are the guys you actually have to kill, just to show everyone you mean business.
4/25/2006 11:27:10 PM
it sounds cool, but it would fail just about as bad as the land of oz on top of Beech Mountain did.
