the interface still sucks cock.no real reason to get it over ie6
4/25/2006 3:03:34 PM
I still have some issues with script debugging finding errors on some pages that firecrap doesn't have issues with. However, I live with them because the alternatives aren't any better.

it fucked up my internet, i had to uninstall
4/25/2006 3:10:54 PM
i find that it rendered one of my sites differently than ie6and that's boggling my mind
4/25/2006 4:28:57 PM
it sucks ass currently. it kept locking up on my machine so i had to unistall. i would wait until its out of beta.

anytime I manually or let a link automatically create a new tab it crashed... uninstalled and went back to IE for work's web apps and Firefox for personal use.. put on my home box and same problem.. *shrug*
4/25/2006 4:42:53 PM
^ I had that problem too. Tried it on my laptop and every time it opened a tab it crashed. Ah well, firefox doesn't treat me badly as it is.

sounds like a bunch of PEBCAK.fyi, if you don't have a legit copy of windows, it wont work right.
4/25/2006 5:19:33 PM
Yea i didn't have any stability issues. Its actually pretty quick too. I just hate the interface.Theres also a bug i wonder if one of you could try to duplicate.Go into optionsturn off tabsclose IEstart IE back upminimize IErestore IEWhen i did this on my work comp it gave me an extra toolbar right below the command bar. This is where the tabbed bar would be if tabs were on.

^^ Windows XP Pro that came with the computer from dell... I doubt they're installing pirated copies. This is my second machine, a cheapo dell laptop. Using a fresh install of xp pro SP2 with latest updates (reformatted and reinstalled everything 2 days ago.) There's really nothing on there but windows to possibly be fucking up IE. I haven't even gotten around to installing firefox on that machine. The only software I've installed is the standard gamut of security software.IE6 ran fine by the way. The system is stable doing anything in there and playing dvd's and the other few things I've used it for. [Edited on April 25, 2006 at 5:41 PM. Reason : ]

oh I just like throwing out that PEBCAK thing because when I had problems with fucking ATi drivers fucking up my dual display on my AIW 9600 people were quick to throw me and my install under the bus.

beta 2 works fine on both machines. no lags or crashes. interface def sux but i deal with it when i do have to use IE.
4/25/2006 8:13:08 PM

4/25/2006 9:23:12 PM

I've been using IE7 since feb, and I don't have any real problems with it.It's nice to be able to use the native browser in windows (naked) and not be bombarded with popups.I've stopped using avant and firefox, as the new IE uses less ram.
4/25/2006 9:49:05 PM
IE6 uses less ram than firefox and avant is IE.
4/25/2006 10:28:43 PM
Yes, but IE6 didn't have tabs.
4/25/2006 10:52:09 PM
so is there any real difference between this and the beta that came out a couple months ago or w/e
4/26/2006 12:38:07 AM
