gn 411 final with emigh wasn't that badit helps to have the old tests 1-4/answers for them (which serve as an appropriate framework to study from)in general i found studying the "review sheets" or whatever was a crapshoot...a lot of that stuff wasn't on the exam in any way/shape/formalso if i remember correctly, you can get 5 or 10 points EC for filling out a survey during the final[Edited on April 23, 2006 at 2:37 AM. GN 411: This exam wasn't that bad, just like the other exam formats, look over 4 or 5 of the past years finals and review your review sheets in problem session, remember how to do the pedigree problems from exam 1 and your straight...he also doesnt like to use the +/- system, so if you have like a 81 you'll get a BBCH 451???: THIS EXAM SUCKS A LOT...PROB THE MOST I HAVE EVER STUDIED FOR A FINAL...I STUDIED A FULL WEEK FOR IT AND PUSHED BACK MY OTHER EXAMS TO CONCENTRATE JUST FOR THIS EXAM...ITS ABOUT 35 PAGES....A LOT OF FILL IN THE BLANK...AND 30% OF THE QUESTIONS I STILL DIDNT KNOW...BE PREPARED, YOU WILL PROB STAY FOR THE ENTIRE 3 HOURS

not even close enough...you gotta know knopp knotes like its the back of your hand, i recommend learning all the stuff in the middle of the book and learn all the definitions from that and the biochem book

also the format is totally different than the other exams

Last semester with Both...Don't even worry about the BCH final, it's impossible and you can't study for it, i don't even think she really grades it... it's like 25 pages long. The GN wasn't too bad, just old test questions with different numbers... he tells you all he does is open up the tests again, copies and pastes them and changes the numbers. So relax!

what was the format like? a lot of definition questions? or naming structures ? is there a lot of drawing structures too?

IDK of sylvia's is the same as knopp's, but Knopps was about 10-12 pages of all fill in the blank. For the structures, you had to name them from the structure and you just had to basically remember all of the terms you learned in the semester for the rest of the test, but still be able to apply the material. Its really hard. Nobody has ever seen their grade that I have talked to, so just make sure you study but know going into it that its probably not graded...or its curved huge. I had an A- going into the exam, couldnt have done better than 70 if I did well, and ended up getting an A in the class. go figure

are you kidding me...has anyone actually taken the sylvia 451 final?is it really that bad; i was hoping to pull up my grade with the final, but you guys are making it seem like i should just go in there, shit on the paper, turn that in, and hope for the best

that Probasesteal dude took it and thought he failed and I think his grade stayed the same. I was drinking with him the night before the exam. Study hard, but definately dont stress out about it. If you think you did really well after it and your grade goes down or you dont get what you expected in the class I'm sure you can go talk to her.

naming structures, theres no drawing them, tons of fill in the blank, like 10 mult choice questions
