4/22/2006 5:30:08 PM

4/22/2006 5:42:50 PM
ridge on the side looks weird. idrive!! they need to fix that cup holder thing[Edited on April 22, 2006 at 5:45 PM. Reason : the taper at the back borders on jelly bean territory]
4/22/2006 5:44:26 PM
I like it.
4/22/2006 5:49:43 PM
so, when they put a v8 in that body for the m3, how different will that be from the 6 series... not verycurrent 3 series: ~180 inches length, ~3300 lbs (with inline 6 engine - v8 will prob. weigh more)current 6 series: ~190 inches length, ~3700 lbs with v8 engineyeah yeah, the m3 is supposed to be a pure driver's car, stiff suspension, more aggressive styling, so on... but compared to the original they've lost focus. (original was a foot shorter than the current 3 series and about 500lbs less)
4/22/2006 5:56:42 PM
I will admit, it looks nice. But this thread will probably open up another pandoras box of BMW brown-nosing, and flame wars.
4/22/2006 5:58:12 PM
I don't like the body lines on that at all, but the interior looks incredibly nice.
4/22/2006 6:09:45 PM
A BMW I like, and it also reminds me of a jaguar.Real nice.

really have hated how BMW has changed the 3 and 5 series in the past couple years but this is a great new look. Cant wait to see how the new M3 will look
4/22/2006 8:39:24 PM
almost looks DB7'ish from the side
4/22/2006 8:40:46 PM
4/22/2006 9:52:43 PM
^ray you are a fucking toolbag, not every twin turbo is as much of a piece of shit as a mazda rotary, OMG, max hp is 300, must be a pos, why dont you wait for the product to hit the market to judge. I guarantee its a shitton better than your family's kia's
4/22/2006 10:54:22 PM
'Tis an attractive car. Nicely done.
4/23/2006 12:10:10 AM
300+ hp and they can only squeeze out a 5.3 0-60go on a diet you big ass porker
4/23/2006 2:09:01 AM
^It's a luxury car, not an engine with a shitty car around it
4/23/2006 2:12:06 AM
it def looks nice.
4/23/2006 2:19:34 AM
300 lb-ft @ 1400 rpmyou guys are idiots. peak hp isnt everything.
4/23/2006 2:55:42 AM

4/23/2006 4:53:36 AM

4/23/2006 10:45:52 AM
the front looks almost exactly like a 6 series to meI like the rear end, though
4/23/2006 12:03:45 PM
^^^how entry level is it? The 335i will be at least $45k.I know the 3 Series is "entry level" but as far as I'm concerned thats for the base models only.
4/23/2006 12:08:46 PM
ugly as shit
4/23/2006 1:13:01 PM
^says the dsm guy
4/23/2006 1:24:06 PM

4/23/2006 2:19:28 PM

4/23/2006 2:19:36 PM
wow, that's gorgeousjust oozes class
4/23/2006 2:26:43 PM
looks like it just oozes old 5-serieseven on the insidewhat's the point of making the 3 series that big?
4/23/2006 3:03:08 PM
4/24/2006 9:38:42 AM
the rear tail lights arent very bmw-ish anymore :/
4/24/2006 9:57:17 AM
looks too clean and luxurious. i prefer the dirty and angry BMW look, where kidney grills are not as round.
4/24/2006 10:30:03 AM
i always heard that the BMW engineers were dead set against turbos.. guess they changed their minds..
4/24/2006 10:37:55 AM
^ya i think the turbo bmw before this one was in 70's
4/24/2006 10:41:24 AM
meh the front bumper is to busy and passive looking. i bet the m will be better.
4/24/2006 10:57:20 AM

sorry, i meant on gas engines... something about how they dont believe that is how power (performance) is supposed to be made.. die hard n/a... but i may be wrong...
4/24/2006 11:21:49 AM
^ wasn't the old 745 actually a turbo as well? not the 4.5L the name would have you believe.i think this new 3 series looks really good. i'm glad they didn't fuck it up like they did the 5 and 7 series.
4/24/2006 11:24:39 AM
3.5l turbo, i believe
4/24/2006 11:41:13 AM
interesting...
4/24/2006 11:45:01 AM
yeah, seems like they've always preferred high compression to forced induction in their gas engines.

4/24/2006 10:20:10 PM
The whole car isn't horrible, interior is pretty well done.Just isn't a BMW. God I hope they come back to their senses in the next few years.

Women BMW drivers of the general population: 88%Metrosexual men BMW drivers of the same: 12%Kinda hard to believe you guys are so overwhelmed by a girls car. Why not go get a Cabrio and put a turbo in it? You know, make it a manly car
4/24/2006 11:57:35 PM
dear slut... Laggy turbos are just turbos built to be more efficient on the top end not the bottom.(either that or they are poorly designed non bb non water cooled turbos...)ooohh wait... (i'll just stop there) a wrx isn't just blowing hot air @6500rpm its still makin power.all i care is.... is the short block beefy ?[Edited on April 25, 2006 at 12:19 AM. Reason : ]
