Detroit became a joke in the league when they refused to give Barry Sanders protection, an offensive line that could block, or any significant other person that would help protect his body from the ass whoopin it tooked every sunday even though he was almost unstoppable. I hate Detroit for letting possibly the best RB in NFL history retire...

They may have been a joke before Sanders arrived, but he def made them exciting and made you watch and enjoy some games. He was the team, and with a lil support and offensive help-he and the lions would have been a consistent heavy playoff hitter...damn management and coaching ruined that franchise...

When Sanders left the joke got really funny
