More like shut the fuck up! This is not a very good way to endear yourself to your new fans.

Davis says that he regrets signing with State to the NY Post. He apparently also got suspended for yelling at the ref.

Shut up Davis and come play some ball.

Davis can say whatever the fuck he wants to say.

When players commit to a school it's probably about 75% the coaching staff they commit too. They form a relationship with the assistants and the head coach...and now they are all gone. So he can bitch all he want. And if he wants to leave, then we should grant him a release too.

And lock this shit...there is a recruiting thread where this can be put...and I'm pretty sure this article is already in there.

he has every right to concerned about his future since he did sign with State expecting to play under Herb Sendek.

i'd be concerned too if the school i signed up to play for couldn't handle a task like getting someone to take a job for 2+ million a year...

he probably more concerned with the coaching change in general.

people wanted to play for herb because of his system. now that he and his system arent going to be here, it should be no surprise that recruits are backing out. even if we get a decent new coach, every other team out there plays very similar offenses....ours was different, which is what set us apart from other schools.

haha...well placed...just look at the post in front of yours. our fans have very little class..its a shame.

First off, he needs to shut up on the court. Secondly, I don't think it's too classy to talk crap about regretting coming to State and stuff until he backs out. Wait until you see who the coach is, and wait until you rescind your deal before you start talking the smack.

"oooooh, I've had a tough year, blah blah blah." Quit whining!

I too have come to the conclusion that the NCSU nation is delusional, impatient, and overall retarded.

It's cool to be a sports fan, but I think guys that are getting all up in arms about the state of our atheletics (bball and fball) need to find something else to occupy their time since our sports program obviously isn't very fulfilling.

first off, i don't think he was talking crap, i think he was honestly saying his opinion. mr grace said it very well...he put all his eggs in one basket...i would regret it too if i did the same thing.

secondly, even if you think what he did wasnt classy, that makes no difference....you still proved my point. someone with class what take the high road instead of staying "FINE...if hes gonna act like that I don't want him to come here anyway, good riddance"

that, my friend, is not very classy. it sounds like something a middle schooler would say. you sound like a fucking baby.

I mean if they really are reading everything....

then I just hope they're smart enough to realize that its still a vocal minority.

Such as the ONE person in this thread that is bitching about his comments.

The other thing is, our fans aren't dumb enough to get down on the players. Fucking TA Mclendon was
still a superhero to 85 percent of our fans before he "turned pro" even though he blew more games than I care to
count for you....and thats football, where your mistakes stand out more when you really fuck up.

If you think Larry Davis won't come here because he read that I think he should shut up on the court and stop talking to the media, then you're a moron.

I think you've mixed up who you're talking to. I made the thread, but didn't say that I didn't want Davis.

I made this thread for both reasons: his shouting on the court and his talking to the press.

I just don't think he should say he regrets his committment to State unless he's DEFINITELY leaving.

My point is the sheer amount of energy poured into the crying and complaining about our programs and everyone involved in them is stupid. The fans don't have as much control as they think yet they still waste their time making eleventy million posts on a message board about it, and crying about it, and blah blah blah.

If the state of bball and fball isn't fulfilling all your hopes and dreams, and you are basically helpless to do something about it (and unless your name is in the class of Murphy and Dail, then you are) its a fucking waste of time to cry about shit like this. Go find some other pursuit to occupy your time, like underwater basket weaving, and if bball or fball gets turned into a good thing by those that have the power to do so, then consider this icing on the cake of an already fulfilling life.

Such is the state of NCSU sports. We aren't UNC or Duke in bball, we arent USC/Texas/FSU in football.

I still have no clue as to the relevance of your posts to this topic.

What the hell do you care if I read about Larry Davis and post on this message board?

The sheer amount of energy put into us talking on a messageboard about State athletics is reflective of our love of the college and it's program.

Saying we can't change things in State athletics is like saying I can't change things in the national government. Probably not, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't take an interest or spend some free time talking about it.

If you want to give up and stop talking, then by all means, bless us with your absence.

I don't see your point at all.

For starters, I don't care really what you think about Larry Davis.

No, all the bitching and complaining and crying is reflective of your personal, selfish, and generally impatient desire to be able to brag to your buddies and coworkers and any other non State fan about how you beat them in sport X - to feel like you did something, like you won something. I'm passionate about it too, but I'm not delluded so much that I make dumb ass comments about some guy that is in a fucked up situation because he committed to something that is no more.

Yea no shit, but at the point it becomes fanatical to no avail (and threads like these are indicative of this) is when it's time to reevaluate the situation.

Give up? I'm not the dipshit that got his panties in a wad over an 18 year old that is speaking his mind about a very bad situation that he is in now.
