If anyone in the city of Raleigh or surrounding has a DB9 (ie serial ie R232) female to female cable or adapter that I could have ASAP, please post here!I'll gladly pay you for it or if I could just borrow it for a couple weeks untill one can arrive from the internet. GEEZ cut the damn wires and solder them back together in the way you want them... pin 2 and 3 are TX/RX (don't remember which is which but it doesn't matter) and pin 5 is ground...I'll make you one delivered tonight for $20 but you can't make a damn comment on the quality of craftsmanship

i had her go by connect-it this am and get what she needed, sr design prject was using a com to network rig to talk to the device, adpator puked out, none of the local palces had null modem or serial cables in stock AND were open after 7 pm.

I had that same problem the other day... Wal-mart has like 40 different USB cables and 0 serial cables
