I'm predicting that Barry Bonds will die/be permanently incapacitated/vanish before he passes the babe. If baseball is to be saved, it would take Barry Bonds having a stroke.COUNTDOWN: At the most, he has 5 more homeruns until he is either permanently incapacitated or dead.5 HOMERUNS LEFT (that'll give him 713, one less than he needs to tie the Babe)

shut the fuck up

It is because Ruth is white!!!RACIST!
4/13/2006 12:53:44 PM
Sadly, it wouldn't surprise me if that was indeed the reason.
4/13/2006 12:55:27 PM
4/13/2006 1:03:59 PM
bttt
4/13/2006 2:52:52 PM
more like reverse racism. people make a big deal about him because he's black, but they turn a blind eye to white players that do the same thing. Bonds knows that it will piss off white america more than anything to break Ruth's number and leave Aaron's intact.
4/13/2006 3:27:23 PM
^ no it won't, nobody cares about #2
4/13/2006 3:29:55 PM
if they didn't care about number two, then people wouldn't remember Babe Ruth or the number of home runs he hit. Maybe you're just in denial about racism in sports.
4/13/2006 3:31:40 PM
No, we remember babe ruth as an amazing ball player who was on PERFORMANCE DECREASERS and still hit 714. People remember Ruth because he was the Home Run King for a long ass time. You don't forget that. You will forget those who climb to number two instead of passed by a new king. It's not racist. the dude is a fucking cheater and I hope he dies.
4/13/2006 3:37:11 PM
i don't care if barry bonds* is purplehe's a fucking doucheand a cheaterand a disgrace
4/13/2006 3:37:42 PM
^ hahahahaha, nice.I don't care abotu Barry Bonds*. Barry Bonds* is dead to me. I hope Barry Bonds* dies.
4/13/2006 3:38:52 PM
barry bonds isn't a cheater. the only rule of sports doping is "thou shalt not get caught". When he fails a baseball drug test, then you can call him a cheater.
4/13/2006 3:41:18 PM
the dude* is a fucking cheater dude.If Roger Marris has a star by his name because he played one more game than babe ruth and hit 61 that season, then fuck barry bonds*. He deserves a fucking star.
4/13/2006 3:43:01 PM
you can't put a star beside his name because you think he's juicing. You need to come to the reality that almost all elite baseball players are taking some form of performance enhancer. There is still no test for GH and IGF-1, and the only people that can afford that shit are pro athletes.
4/13/2006 3:45:50 PM
4/13/2006 3:46:11 PM
no, I will always remember Babe Ruth as the worthless degenerate alcoholic that he was, with no fielding talent and one of the highest number of strikeouts every season.
4/13/2006 3:48:57 PM
i'm not so mad about him being a cheater as i am mad about him being a cunti've got 1000x more respect for someone who comes out and says, 'yeah, i cheated, but so did everyone else, now i'm clean and my balls are tiny, so everyone is happy.'
4/13/2006 3:49:58 PM
so you're saying you'd rather someone be honest about their past and lie to you about what they're currently doing.
4/13/2006 3:51:22 PM
so you're saying you can't read
4/13/2006 3:52:20 PM
i just hope he doesn't pass aaron, b/c aaron handled the whole situation with such class, while bonds doesn't know what class is.
4/13/2006 3:53:37 PM
actually, I'm saying you're a fucking moron if you believe ANYONE who used steroids previously in sports isn't using them now.
4/13/2006 3:55:09 PM
1. i never said that2. i said i'd like for people to be honest3. what the fuck are you reading

you're on a sports message boardtalking about barry bonds breaking the records of babe ruth and henry aaronand you're telling me i'm taking it too seriouslywhat do expect
4/13/2006 5:42:47 PM
you don't understand anything about baseball. Baseball has 2 things going for it. It's not the most popular sport in america (football) and it's not the most exciting (basketball). But baseball has history and it has math. In no other sport are the statistics even close to as meaningful. When you have 162 games for a good 15 year career, they're very meaningful. back in the day when it was a surprise to see someone hit 40 home runs in a season, having barry hit 70 completely throws the entire stastic into the realm of what used to be impossible. look at last year. Andruw Jones hit a league high 51 homeruns. 61 was the record (marris) before Bonds and McGuire broke, rebroke, and rebroke again the same record in 3 years. When you're erasing Babe Ruth from the history books, yes, it's serious. That is the holy grail of sports statistics.I'm with you ernie.
4/13/2006 5:53:35 PM
^football is much more exciting than basketball.. actually basketball brings nothing to the table
4/13/2006 5:55:27 PM
I'm with you. But the rest of america unfortunately isn't. Did ya'll have practice yesterday?
4/13/2006 5:58:03 PM
just went out yesterday, 4 of use came out and i had 2 other friends so we were able to play pitchers Paradise... it was just basically homerun derby with wooden bats on the upper field[Edited on April 13, 2006 at 6:00 PM. Reason : ]
4/13/2006 5:59:56 PM
how many balls did ya'll lose?you play pitchers paradise any with 6?
4/13/2006 6:00:31 PM
actually only like 2 balls, every couple innings we would go find ballsyes we played PP the whole time[Edited on April 13, 2006 at 6:01 PM. Reason : PP]
4/13/2006 6:01:12 PM
