thats the question...I mean im skeptical but optimistic at the same time about Iran. I would like to think that they are trying to produce cheap energy for their people but at the same time they dont have a very good track record.

that's right. Iran is the only country in the middle east who doesn't have oil and lots of it. I totally forgot! Thanks for reminding me!

It's a "Jump to Conclusions Mat". You see, you have this mat, with different CONCLUSIONS written on it that you could JUMP TO.

Honestly, how is it that Iran needs more energy when it has all the crude it could possibly want? Without ad hominem attacks, I'm curious to see if you can actually answer questions.
4/13/2006 1:09:46 PM
Because their supply of crude oil is not in any way fit to provide the electricity for nearly 70 million goddamn people. Because the only way their country can make a penny is by selling oil out of the country. Because they're a sovereign nation and they can build a power plant if they goddamn want. Christ, you're thick.
4/13/2006 1:13:38 PM
Iran has every right to nuclear energy for civilian purposes.

4/13/2006 1:24:37 PM
hmm..... make energy and sell oil or use the oil for energy.....[Edited on April 13, 2006 at 1:26 PM. Reason : move this to soapbox]

4/13/2006 2:24:30 PM

yeah, i didnt think about the huge amount of oil involved. either way it would be terrible if things escalated to a point where we/the rest of the world had to send ground troops to yet another country.

Hi, I'm statepkt and I don't get it.
4/13/2006 5:02:45 PM
we didn't ask all the countries in the world if they trusted us with nuclear technology before we developed it.no, but really, the reason that we shouldn't let Iran obtain enrichment technologies is because they'll switch the trading currency of oil to the euro instead of the $. end of story.
