I need a computer with:a casea power supplya motherboarda CPU (2GHz or greater)RAM (not really a necessity because i'll likely upgrade it)USB 2 support and plenty of interfacesI already have:2 optical drivessound cardnetwork card (if not onboard)TV tuner cardgraphics card (8x AGP)2 parallel ATA hard drivesMy computer takes RDRAM and I can't afford it. Cheaper to replace the whole thing. Don't need SATA. No bells or whistles. Computer is not for gaming. I record TV on it and I do homework on it.

My computer has PC1066 RAM in it. Is it ok to stick PC800 in there? I really don't know, but I read somewhere that it will fuck up your motherboard.

yea thats the thing, rambus boards seem to be real picky with what you can put in them. So if you don't know if your boards compatable I wouldn't try.
