I have an X-box with the original hard drive in it, and it is modded with Avalaunch.

I also have a 160 gig HD I want to put into the xbox, but I want to get Avalaunch, utils & games moved to the new HD also.

Is this possible? Does anyone know an xbox well enough to be able to do this, or is it a pipe dream?

Please let me know if you can put my files from the 10 gig onto my 160 gig and then make it work in my xbox.

The easiest way to do this is just transfer all the shit you want from your current XBOX HD to your PC, put the new HD and install avalaunch again, then transfer it back. There was a ISO I downloaded about two years ago that automatically added all the shit you need, I forget what it was called.

I didn't install Avalaunch, a friend did who couldn't figure out how to install the 160 gig HD.

I have Action Replay and I think the right copy of MechAssault to pull it off again though if someone has the know how.

Hmm, that wouldn't work. Put both of the HDDs in a PC and mirror your current XBOX HD onto the new one. I don't know exactly how to do this but I'm sure it's not too hard and on google.

I think the easiest thing is to make a bootable xboxhdm disc. It has a utility to clone an existing drive. If your box is software exploit modded, make sure you backup your eeprom onto the bootable disc so you can lock the new hd after you finish. (You might need to do this with some modchips too, I don;t really know about those)
go to http://forums.xbox-scene.com/ if you need more detailed explainations

[Edited on April 8, 2006 at 5:52 PM. Reason : ...the bootable disc is a pc app, not an xbox one]
