unless you got a cool as hell teacher you are gonna have to do the counceling center thingsmall price to pay(its free) to get a class dropped

Please tell me what major you are in and then we can talk about what to do. Counseling center is a drop for all courses, not just one course.

don't you sit on the bench for the football team?can't you just go through the usual routes?

Yeah...at this point in the game I'm fairly certain you can only drop the entire semester. Unless you suck cock or something, it's pretty impossible to only drop one.

ditto. i wanna drop one class too

i've been there too... line item drop would've been nice a few times when i've been really sick or had a death in the family... gpa would be considerably better.dropping only 1 class in the last month of classes would be tricky... but i have heard of people getting extensions with incompletes until the work is done. if you could make a good case to the counseling center or your professor or whoever then maybe you could get them to let you slide until & finish up the projects & work in the summer or something. It wouldn't be a drop, would still require the work, but it might have the same effect as a drop in that it would give you the freedom you need (if the reason you are dropping is being overburdened) or it could give you the chance to work intensely on it over the summer (if you are dropping over a bad grade and need to pull it up).don't know how it works, i just think i've heard of that before. good luck.

It is not about dropping a course or a full semester - its about the reasons for needing such. if you goofed off and didn't go to class or do your part, then no, you cannot drop a course or a semester. If there are reasons that one class was impacted due to extenuating circumstances or something going on in your life impacted all classes, then a drop might be possible. And don't think athletes have an easier time dropping a course than the rest of you. They are held to the same standards and in the case of drops, even retroactive ones, they may be held to much stricter ones. write me and let me know your major and situation. And, to those I owe answers, I will get to by this afternoon.

^Lady is working on a Sunday ... you guys owe her flowers ... or $bling of some sort The IN causes a LOT of trouble on behalf of the instructor for that course. The circumstances had better be real and extenuating before even attempting this route. Likewise, dropping an entire semester is $5000+ in tuition/fees/rent pretty much down the toilet.A single bad grade in a course will not drastically affect you final GPA ... maybe drop it by 0.03 or so. We all have at least one bad course, one bad professor, one time we screw up, whatever the case might be. Take the hit and move on with life.
