i'm not good at math...i won't say i am (seriously, numbers confuse me)...i need one more 200 or higher level math course in order to graduate in december, and while i'm not opposed to working/studying, i have a full load next semester and i'd really prefer some math course with a good professor that i can do fairly easily...i'm good at basic algebra, geometry, and probability...i suck at statistics, and i only pulled a C in calculus...anyone have some good suggestions?

i'm thinking about LOG201 this summer (logic)...there are two options - class or distance ed...anyone have experience with this class?

Just take some college geometry class at wake tech or something. Then you don't have to worry about GPA. Besides that LOG201 should be easy as shit. Take a look at the course website.http://courses.ncsu.edu/log201/lec/001/quiz#2 is a joke. So is the rest of the homework. If you've had MA 242 or MA 231 then you can take MA 325, intro to applied math. The class is split up in to five different modules, each with a new instructor about every three weeks. The five modules are like heat and transfer, math modeling of the heart, vibrations, cryptography, and financial math. No tests, couple hw assignments for each module, and a real short paper after each module.

MA 325 was pretty good... you might actually enjoy it. nothing gets terribly in depth since they are very different topics. i took it the first semester they offered it, so i am not sure how it changed, but it was a good class then!good luck~skip~

^It's probably because people take it thinking it will be a cake walk, don't study and end up failing.Also the class has a large majority of Freshmen.Here is what I see from that distribution:A 22%B 11%C 17%D&F 40%The distribution is bi-modal. One is an A (those who studied and upperclassmen). The other is centered around an F(those who didn't study and mostly freshmen).Grade distributions that scare me are those that have <5% As. Like one or 2 As and several Bs the rest C and below, those are the classes where it is genuinely hard to get an A.Reminds me of the World Food and Population class. I took notes in that class, read them before the exam and got an easy A+. However, there were people on here(tww) seriously crying about how bad they did. 303 or 305 wouldn't seem too bad by the topics, although it certainly depends on who's teaching.
