I'm looking for a used motorcycle, along the lines of a sport touring bike. Age doesn't really matter to me, as long as it runs well and can be used on the highway. It's my first bike, so I need something I can learn to ride on...so I'm not looking for a rocket or a big expensive cruiser, just a light bike that can get me from A to B. If you or anyone you know has something like this for sale, please let me know.thanks

dude i got exactly what you need...A 2000' Suzuki Katana 600 in great condition minus very very light cosmetic damage on the fairings from a standstill drop. The bike is perfect to learn how to ride on because its not scary fast or overly sensitive. The bike is light and looks great! If your serious about buying a bike get at me and ill send you pics and well talk about a price.

you can buy a new rebel 250 for 3,999or a used 06 one at team powersports for 2,999

honestly right now I'm not looking to spend any more than 1500 on a bike...so if anything suggested is much over that, then I can't even consider it. Unless someone feels like financing I mean if I find the RIGHT bike for more than that, I'll consider taking out a loan or a line of credit on it, but for right now I'm really only interested in the ~1500 or less range

not going to get much of a bike for that, but gl.

Look at getting a ninja 250cc bike. New ones are like 2,999 so it should be easy to find used 250's for 1500 range.http://kawasaki.com/product_detail.asp?product=145&category=2&tag=motorcyclecb750 for 1500, not a sports cruiser but will haul you aroundhttp://raleigh.craigslist.org/mcy/148638561.html[Edited on April 6, 2006 at 10:35 PM. i'm 6'2", 215lbs...i dont need a speed bike but i want something i can have a little fun on, will a 250 be enough for me?

It'll move you around. Shit, if a 50cc scooters that all of the football players have move them around, a 250cc should move you around, just I wouldn't want to go on the highway with one. They top out at like 75mph.Get the CB750

yeah i found a cb750 (similar to the one listed on craigslist) on ebay that looks pretty tight, the only thing i'm worried about is its age...i dont want to be spending a whole lot of money keeping it running. and i definitely want something i can take on the highway with confidence.
