You found your own information. Well done.

yeah.. you can.. don't do it thoughit's ridiculously frustrating because you can't send mail through the imap server, you can only view it... although you might be able to do it if you're directly connected to the campus network???

outgoing smtp server: smtp.ncsu.eduuse TLSworks for me
3/31/2006 5:53:16 PM
Just use the outgoing for your internet connection...like RR.

I am doing it for my friend. She lives at college inn. Will there be sending issues?
4/1/2006 1:06:09 PM
you can only use smtp if you're on campus - or at least that's how it was when i lived therehaven't given a rat's ass about my ncsu account since...never actually.mail forwarding ftw
4/1/2006 1:12:28 PM
so basically i have to set up her outlook to check the .ncsu and then to send thru college inn.
4/1/2006 1:46:38 PM
yeah because of all the spamit kills the smtp server
4/1/2006 5:06:45 PM
actually, you can use authenticated smtp from college inn or anywhere else for that matter.http://www.ncsu.edu/it/essentials/email_messaging/smtp/index.html
