The funniest thing is people actually GET virii. There's 3 primary ways to get one, and if you avoid all 3, you'll rarely ever have a problem:1) Using AIM/accepting files though it2) d/loading and running random attachments to emails3) going to porn sites you aren't 100% don't install spyware/viriiTherein lies the problem. Getting folks to give up ONE of those, let alone all 3, is why idiots get virii. I refuse to install a resource-hogging "anti-virus" software program on my machine; I've lived 21 years w/o it and have never had one single virus.

^ Am I like the only person who thinks 'virii' is not the plural from of 'virus'?

I guess the pop up windows and processor peaked at 50% all the time is a "feature"
4/10/2006 4:10:23 PM
I applied like 2 weeks ago...not a single word from 'em yet. Don't even waste your time filling out the application.
4/11/2006 3:15:40 PM

^Pubically post your IP address if you really feel your computer is that secure / won't get infected by a virus. Couple of full-time positions still open if anybody is looking for full-time job after graduation. Not the best paying for a CSC grad ... but if you can earn a Masters degree cheap* if you work for NC State.*Cheap as in free.[Edited on April 12, 2006 at 5:52 AM. Reason : .]
4/12/2006 5:49:17 AM
it looks like you might get to get up early too!
4/12/2006 6:55:23 AM
Someone sent me an email today, asking me some follow up questions (for the wage they are paying, am I still interested? how many hours can I work?).
4/24/2006 2:37:24 PM
i havent heard anythin
4/24/2006 2:40:36 PM
i like that i'm just a "someone." if you applied for a job but are graduating in december, you probably won't hear from us. we invest too much in training to hire people that are guaranteed not to be around for long. sorry.
4/24/2006 5:30:32 PM
haha wow that's pretty lame. woulda been helpful to know that b4 wasting my time filling out the application.
4/24/2006 6:46:53 PM
you could have asked.and it's not a blanket policy, so it's not something we'd put on the app. it all depends on when we hire and what we need.
