I want a logo designed for my site. A little background: It started about five years ago as a personal homepage for me to play around with HTML. I installed a forum three years ago and a flash arcade section two years ago. It has a picture gallery, and I may or may not add some other features that I think could grab a little ad revenue -- like blogs and a newsfeed or something. It's basically a clone of every other forum on the Internet. When I moved my hosting last week, I lost all of my databases, so I'm starting clean, and I'd like a nice, professional logo to reflect the site's identity without paying a nice, professional price.I have several themes and color schemes installed, so the logo would have to work with a variety of colors and a couple of slightly different layouts, or I'd have to have a psd file so I could change that as needed. So who wants to add a logo to their portfolio? PM for the URL and any further information if you're interested.

Talking about tech is also involved.

the point of a logo is to brand a product or service. if you offer multiple themes/color schemes, you are inherently UN-branding your board, making a logo pretty insignificant. first step in a brand identity is a mission, next colors, then a logo or type identifier.

^ Good logos can and do work across a variety of color schemes, but you're spot on about the branding.

OK so I'll take mediocre. I'm cool with getting what I pay for.
