now before anyone flames...I know how to do these, but after a year and a half without a headunit and really not wanting to mess it up, I would prefer someone with more experience with these things. I could do it, but honestly not confident in myself not screwing it up. Anyone with a lot of experience and willing to do it for free, or maybe like 5 bucks I would appreciate it (low offer but I'm broke). If you don't care about working by artificial light, I am up for it tonight, otherwise sometime tomorrow preferably. I am heading to charleston on thursday and that 4.5 hour drive blows with just road noise and my own singing.

that's cool. I appreciate it. yeh, I am pretty confident in my work but again, I seem to always have issues with radios. first one was stolen, second stopped reading cds and third was filled with mud (not sure how , i mean it is only in a jeep) the third one was in the YJ though which actually sees trails. Pops CJ doesn't and that is where this one is going. tuneless for one and a half years is far too long. any takers? artificial light gives you a good tan in preparing for the summer. hah

i wouldn't mind at all. I have a soldering iron/gun (whatever Jeepman has) not sure if he has solder though. if you don't mind be "borrowing" heat shrink I would love it. Wanna lend a hand on the install too? hah. I searching right now for a wiring diagram. if anyone has one for the radio in a CJ7 let me know. it would be much appreciated.

isnt much to it if you have a voltmeter, ignition hot to yellow, battery to red, ground to black, and blue to amp, speakers you're on your own

i am working on it, but either I am an idiot or the wiring in this old CJ isn't working right. 69 if you would like to lend a hand, haha, it would be most appreciated. if not, or you are busy, then I will just keep fawking with it
