the ones i get in Havana when i go there for vacation every fall are the heat. i can't recall the name of them, but i get them from a little shop near where i stay... i don't think they are mass marketed.
3/28/2006 2:00:08 AM

3/28/2006 2:38:35 AM
you can get a "cigar jar" from cigar.com for 30.00i'm sure the tender box would have something comparable.
3/28/2006 2:41:59 AM

not enough of an afficianado to have a favourite
3/28/2006 10:03:16 AM
Hey Drageur, how much would you want for those Monte's? I got a humidor that they'll reside in nicely...As for the initial question, I love the Mayorga Maduros because they're full-flavored, but not so overwhelming with the "earthy" kind of taste that a lot of maduro's have. Another personal fave is the La Finca. They can be had relatively cheaply, but are an excellent smoke.

damn you, delete that.do you want to never be able to find them?we are keeping them a secret as best as we can.
3/31/2006 11:15:45 AM
so my favorite cigar is a Fuente Fuente OpusX.....what about yall!!!!!Problem with Opux X is that they come from a small plantation and the soil is 'turning'.....5-6 years ago they were perfect. Not as good these days.Probably a cliche to say, but truly the best cigar Ive ever had was a true cuban cohiba. Shit knocked my ass out.
3/31/2006 11:54:05 AM
My favorite: Rocky Patel Vintage 1990They are dark but not bitter, the aging is really what makes this cigar. If I want something lighter, I'd go for a Montcristo Platinum Corona...had one Saturday night at Amras, that new cigar bar on Glenwood. Good smoke and a good place to smoke at.PS: For everyone who likes to smoke the Acid flavored cigars...BUY A PIPE. Cigars are not meant to be flavored, that's what pipe tobacco is for. The problem is that the flavoring gets on your lips, then in your mouth, and you're not tasting the cigar you're tasting the flavoring. With a pipe, all your get is the flavored smoke, not the sugary blah-ness on your lips. Cigars should be natural tobacco, pipes should be flavored tobacco, and never the twain shall meet.
4/3/2006 10:41:25 AM
Where is this place on Glenwood? I'd like to check it out.
4/4/2006 1:14:19 AM
So.... no one's mentioned marijuana cigars yet? They're pretty good......However, they're hard to find in American already rolled........you often have to roll them yourself.
4/4/2006 11:22:25 AM
GET THE FUCK OUT, you are as bad as the roomate i had in the dorms that cut up one of my cigars and left a dollar.
4/4/2006 2:20:04 PM
so......liking marijuana cigars == disregard for other's property???explain?[Edited on April 4, 2006 at 2:28 PM. Reason : or are you just a bigot? []

you have insulted the readers of this thread as much as my roomate insulted me

4/4/2006 2:45:31 PM
really, I think mr. joshua summed it up with stfu hippie. This is not a thread for smoking pot. This is a thread about smoking fine tabacco cigars. If you can't grasp the simplicity of this, you should lay off the pot.[Edited on April 4, 2006 at 2:53 PM. Reason : ]
4/4/2006 2:52:36 PM
^^What's a "hippie"?^If the thread was about tobacco, then the thread title should've said so.....or.....the first post could have said, "btw, we're not talking about weed here...."Despite what you think, a marijuana cigar is no less a cigar than a tobacco cigar. The question "What's your favorite cigar?" was asked, and I answered. No foul. You however, felt the need to spew some unwarranted anti-marijuana-user bigotry. Foul. You still haven't explained why you compared me to a thief……Does not answering mean that you are comfortable with my assessment that you are a bigot?
