Sloan, Morrissette, don't know about Fowler but can assure you that you will not like Masemore.

Sloan all the way. It's one of the most, if not THE most, informative class I've taken. You'll learn a huge deal about stocks and how corporations work...just a really brilliant guy to listen to.3 tests & a final for the grading, and you know precisely what's coming on the tests since his practice tests are very relevant.Favre for 370. He has a desire to teach and really is a great person. His teaching is easy to understand, and he's the most helpful guy outside and inside of class that I've met at NCSU. Have a HW problem? He'll spend an hour w/ you to figure it out without hesitation. His tests resemble his HW, so if you do that well you're good to do.340...what do I say? It's a real downer of a class no matter what; I'd opt for Fowler since I had Masemore and it's a snore-fest at best in that class.

SLOAN!! he spells out how the tests will be....Morrisette is an awsome teacher....the material isn't all that great but he makes it seem cool

BUS 320 - Get Sloan. Unless Jones means Charlie Jones. In that case either one of them is good.BUS 340 - Get Fowler, just know shes mad picky about grading. I was .002 points away from an A, and she was like yeah um have fun with your B+. BUS 370 - MORRISETTE. Easiest A+ you will ever make.

I liked Sloan a lot. Go with him for 320.Didn't have any of the others, personally (Powell for 340, Bozarth for 370).

sounds like my current semester...anyway, definitely Sloan. He's really understanding and even offered a re-test when everyone did horrible on one of his tests- haven't really had a prof in college that has offered to completely re-do a test before...and if you liked your first grade you can keep it. Plus, if you do well on the final that replaces one of your test grades. Definitely Fowler for 340- I have her now. She is a pretty cool teacher, although the tests are outrageous (just a LOT of information on them) but I've heard she's WAY better than masemore. You will also have 2 powerpoint presentations with a group. And a BIG group paper. I'd also recommend Favre. He is VERY nice and if you have having trouble with anything (like the homeworks) he will give you the answers and help you understand if you go to his office hours. Also kind of funny- lets us out of class early a lot.

sloan was hard for me...morrissette is really boring in nelson 3400...hettche is pretty easy for philosophy classes as someone else said...

I don't know if you've noticed, but BUS 320 with Jones is at the College of Textiles... Now, you may be able to get into the class even if a Business student, but it will probably bore you to death. It still covers the same core material as other BUS 320 classes, but it's focused on textile and apparel companies, etc. While I enjoy Dr. Jones, and would take another class of hers in a heartbeat, non-textile students wouldn't enjoy the class. Plus, it's on Centennial Campus, meaning more hassle for someone who's not gonna be over here for other classes anyway.

I didn't have Morissette in 3400. I loved him in a smaller class. He knows his shit too. He has to have more real world experience than 99% of our business professors.

^That's one of the things I liked so much about Sloan. Since he's a lecturer, not a tenured professor, he actually does things other than teach and research (consulting & financial planning). His real-world experience makes the class more interesting.
