I just found out that I'm going to get pretty much a double paycheck for my performance in Febuary! Who else loves (or hates) the commission?

i like it okay. especially since i have a base salary also. i was straight commission when i first started, that was pretty stressfull.

Haha you can tell how politically minded I am... I was spending about a half hour thinking, "Wow, Wolfpacker06 is on the County Commission?!"[Edited on March 17, 2006 at 2:55 PM. Reason : ?]

I get paid commission and i do pretty well...but I don't like it at all. I'd much rather have less stress and just make a guaranteed amount

well my base salary is enough to pay the bills...so I don't stress about having to make commission. But I pretty much do make it monthly because as long as I do my job, it will happen. I don't actually make sales myself, I work on leadflow in getting leads to the salespeople through some partnerships my company has. So as long as I keep those relationships smooth and working, the leads keep coming, the sales people make sales, and i get paid

our year end bonus depends on the deals we do, so its kinda like commissionin 2005 i wasn't in the salary structure to qualify for a bonus, but got paid a flat rate per the deals i worked.this year i'll be on the bonus structure, but will have a flat rate that was lower than last year's. i was pissed when i first heard that, but then i heard about the bonuses people got this year.it will be an interesting year.

Negotiate a draw if you're worried about what you make every month.
