It seems to me F1 transmission only has Drive, Neutral, and Reverse.

B is for backwards.

That is correct (that it only has Drive, Neutral, Reverse). The Ferrari 'F1' style transmission is just another automanual gearbox that's shifted with paddles behind the steering wheel. This has been discussed before, but there are basically 3 types of these paddle shift transmissions - those that are a manual gearbox with an automatic clutch (Ferrari F1, Lamborghini e-gear, Aston Martin, anyone else that uses the Magnetti Marelli system), those that are an automatic tranmission with torque converter where the paddles suggest that the computer shift (chrysler autostick, bmw automatic transmissions, VW/Audi/Porsche Tiptronic) and then there's VW/Audi (soon Porsche)'s DSG system, which is a dual clutch manual gearbox.
