just got back, was kinda worth it, expected more manufacturers to be there... absent or at least ones I couldn't find:Honda/AcuraBMWMercedes-BenzPorscheHummer only had 1 H2 and 2 H3's, no H1's at all, caddy had a pretty nice display, but not many V series. did the toyota course with the tundra, was pretty neat, lasted about 3 minutes and got a hat, the line wasn't too long so that was a plus. The national guard had a bradley fighting vehicle which was pretty neat to see in person. Other than that just a normal auto show, a bit weaker than when it was at the convention center IMHO. Lotus had 2 or 3 Elise's and 1 Exige, neat neat cars, but cramped as hell interiors. On a side note, best car that was in a decent price range was the Lexus IS-350, amazing interior and fit and finish, with a stunning look. I may just have to go test drive one. Also the new Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade seats suck in comparison to the previous year's model.[Edited on March 18, 2006 at 6:00 PM. Reason : ]
3/18/2006 6:00:04 PM
nobody gave me tickets
3/18/2006 6:24:19 PM
how much are the tickets?
3/18/2006 6:34:18 PM
Leith seemingly did not participate so that is why you didn't see alot of manufacturers there.
3/18/2006 6:48:47 PM
it suckedthe toyota drive thing was the only decent part
3/18/2006 6:56:16 PM
i have four free tickets if anyone wants to go tomorrow[Edited on March 18, 2006 at 7:02 PM. Reason : it does kinda suck leith is not there.. ]
3/18/2006 7:00:10 PM
^^and that sucked.
3/18/2006 7:21:38 PM
so does it really suck that much?
3/18/2006 7:28:00 PM
well, the show wasn't any different from previous years. it keeps sucking up more and more every year. .......and a fucking honda accord could've driven the toyota "off-road" track.
3/18/2006 7:33:34 PM
BLACK
3/18/2006 9:50:15 PM

3/18/2006 9:57:56 PM
that shit still going on tomorrow? if so i may have to give it a try if i can get over there before it closes
3/18/2006 10:08:18 PM
3/18/2006 10:35:55 PM
yeah, push on the accelerator a little bit before the dirt mound and it'll go right over.
3/19/2006 9:36:44 AM
they wouldn't let me take the VX on their course
3/19/2006 11:09:52 AM
They wouldn't let me do the course in reverse either. Bastards. It would have been nice to see a Leith showing, Acura/Honda, Land Rover, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, VW, and Nissan. The Mustang GT-R was my favorite. The SRT-8 300C was nicer than I expected, the seats were rather impressive. Now do they sell those vehicles as demos? I sure as hell wouldn't want to go to the dealer and unknowingly buy a car that hundreds of people sat in and pushed all the buttons and not to mention all the kids who thought the cars were jungle gyms.

i did enjoy "testing the rigidity" of the tundra chassis while 4 old men were sitting in it. i shook the hell out of the truck. you shoulda seen their heads shaking violently side to side.
3/20/2006 9:12:44 AM
the best was the toyota trucks hat i got.
