Not hard at all. Go through the prac exam on the CD they give you when you register. Some of the test questions were the exact same ones. I'd brush up on Access, because most ppl don't know it. The next hardest one is probably Excel b/c you can do so much... but it doesn't deal much in the way of formulas. I think like averaging and summing up cells.

its easy but you need to study the cd...if you dont you will probably fail
3/16/2006 11:53:27 AM
i didn't look at the CD at all, i had a hangover and couldnt find my glasses or contactsand i still passedits the same shit you have been doing since middle school
3/16/2006 11:55:16 AM
especially if you've never used access
3/16/2006 11:55:36 AM
theres all these activities and shit, i guess ill have to look around harder on the cd for the practice exam
3/16/2006 12:13:29 PM
i thought it wasn't too hard but i'm used to using microsoft office. my friend who is decent with computers failed the first time so i would recommend doing the practice exams and you should be fine

If you've never used Access, it's tough. They gave me some website to go to when I took it in 2003 (I've heard this may not still be available...) and the website has "practice tests" that look almost identical to the real dealI spent 4 hours the night before just doing as many practice probs. as I could and I passed it w/ like 85% correct, most of my errors on Access junk.

They let you use the Help option on each program. I really only know the basics of the programs (except for Access which I know nothing about.) I did not study at all and still passed.

test wasnt that bad. snuck out barely passing... not bad for never using half the stuff on there or even studying.
3/20/2006 9:17:12 AM
just go over access and you'll be straight
3/20/2006 9:20:29 AM
are the questions very basic? any particular ones that you remember being hard or unintuitive? is the exam interface just like the one on the cd with that stupid flash animation?[Edited on April 7, 2006 at 12:24 AM. Reason : ]

^ My exam was exactly like the practice versions. No questions were super hard...if you actually DO the practice tests you'll at least get a passing grade.
4/7/2006 12:29:12 AM
^^yes, just do the practice problems. Probably 75% of them came directly from the test CD.
4/7/2006 8:00:40 AM
You can use the help files from the programs. Easy stuff.
4/7/2006 12:24:22 PM
i only see a 10 question sample test that covers all (word, pp, excel, access). i see theres questions under each chapter of the stuff but some of the chapter training's are like 50 topics long. thats gay
4/7/2006 3:02:17 PM
heres the trick, they allow you to have the help on the programs open while taking the test, so the programs will tell you the answers if you know what to ask them. When each question comes up it tells you the question bank and topic it came from, if you copy and paste that into the help it most of the time gave me the answer, and i have no idea how to use access.

roughly how many of the 35 excel/access questions are from access? im tired of looking at access. i dont care about it...
4/7/2006 9:02:27 PM
I think it was about half access...
4/7/2006 9:06:57 PM
So if I use the help tab do I even need to study this stuff?
4/7/2006 9:29:49 PM
nah, easy as mess. i didnt study and im not the smoothest when it comes to excel and stuff... passed, but barely. key word: passed
4/7/2006 11:37:33 PM
Ok im stressing over this big time cause if I dont pass this tomorrow then I dont graduate next month. Ive been studying powerpoint for 2 hours and Im wondering if they ask the easy questions or the hard ones. Some are stupidly complex and some are common sense.

word/powerpoint = 78excel/access = 80maybe i should brush up on my word?
4/8/2006 11:25:14 AM
