already have taken ps201, ps236. I need 3 300-level courses and 1 seminar to complete a minor. Any suggestions of good courses (professors) to fulfill that?

Boettcher/Cobb/Greene are all good friends and all teach interesting classes. Very liberal and opinionated, but great professors as long as you do your readings. Solari is also great for American Political Thought (362 I think), and Overby is AWESOME for 307. Overby is a district court judge and spends a lot of time just talking about his job. He also brings in good speakers like Raleigh VICE, Rick Gammon, etc.

Mitin was pretty good for the one class I had in PS.

do not take Figgins. he's horrible. Greene is the best overall and Cobb is cool too. Mitin is okay, but not as engaging as Cobb or Greene. if you're going to take one poli-sci class while at state though, take PS 362 w/ Solari, he's awesome.

Greene is amazing. Cobb is really interesting but he doesnt really lecture, so if you want someone to "teach" you (assuming you arent really really into politics) then you wont like his class. From what I have seen there isnt anyone that is horrible within the poli-sci dept. You just have to know what type of teacher you want and go from there.

My favorites were Boettcher (331 foreign policy, 407 national security seminar), Cobb (305 race & politics) and Solari (362 american political thought).[Edited on March 25, 2006 at 3:13 PM. Reason : Just kidding it's 303 not 305]
