Has anyone taken BCH 451 with this professor? Pickaprof has 79.2% A's for the statistics.

79.2% A's? Sounds good, I am taking that this summer with him.

I don't know anyone who has had him for 451, but he teaches the Biochem labs, and I have heard good things.

I didn't mean for everyone to rush into the class. Don't make my chances harder Thanks for the good news though.

I had Hardin for 452. He spent about 45 minutes talking about how wrong the entire concept of grades was. He said if we simply tried we'd get an A. Almost everyone got an A+ or something. So if you want a good grade, he's a good one to take.

Sounds like my decision to drop it with Sylvia where I would have struggled for a D was a good one

All the As in 452 that you see on the grade distribution are not because of his grading so I wouldn't walk in that class thinking it'll be easy. The TAs actually graded 452... except for the midterm and final. His midterm and final were pretty easy if you knew your stuff but I could see how they would be tricky.

He is very smart and can be semi-intimidating and with that said I think he will expect a lot from his students in 451. Just from personally knowing him, that is my opinion.

dr. hardin is an anal jackass (coming from someone who got an A+ in BCH452). he also mentions that he's writing all the time (what he is writing is the shitty lab manual for the class--i wouldn't let anyone know i wrote it).
