i've been told to avoid greg young at all costs, so if anyone can help me choose between czarnecki and mcfadyen, i'd appreciate it.

McFadyen was great. During our first class she said that 40% of us would not be there the next class because they would drop, she said her first test average was a 60, and that is we were not a graduating senior you would not do well. Stick with the class, she is a good teacher, however a bit scatter brained at times.

Czarnecki is the absolute greatest teacher in the BUS department. The greatest part about his class is it's simple. Do a bulleted case study every week or so (2 hours max), 2 quizzes, a mid-term, and no final. One 20-page report that you do w/ a partner on a business (split it 10 pages each, doubled spaced, not bad), and that's it!

He has class discussions basically everyday (he only lectures like 3 classes) so it's always a blast in there. Seriously you won't have more fun in a class than this one, plus the workload is very minimal compared to the other 480s.

Take him without hesitation, you won't regret it.

i have young. he's incredibly hard to follow and lectures on tangents for the majority of the class. i tried to get out of his class at the beginning of the semester but all the other sections with different teachers were full and nobody dropped.

^ Wonder why nobody dropped?

It's because Greg Young is the biggest waste of life I have ever encountered. He's the biggest blemish on an otherwise solid Business program here (okay, him and Davis...)

Whatever you have to do, including graduate a semester late, don't take Greg Young. Just look up his reviews in School Tool if you don't believe me. At worst, 480 is taught in the summer by Weems usually, who I've heard good things about.
