i installed a new mobo, and now my hard drive is acting up. It keeps saying that it cant load windows. ive tried to run CHKDSK /r but i keep having the same problem. It never says that it was successful or anything. Is it time for another hard drive or is my mobo messed up?

let me make sure i understand what you've done so far first..you

-installed new motherboard that was different than the original (or was it the same?)
-didn't reinstall windows
-expected it to work without reinstalling?

yes i installed a mobo different from the original. Yes i've tried to reinstall windows but when reboots for the first time (the 1st reboot during windows installation) i says it cant boot it

sounds like a mobo problem to me then... why did you replace it to begin with?
