bous, that depends on whether your ebrain is stored on that particular hard drive [/ghost in shell reference]sawa, that's not a bad price on sale. You'll want to verify your laptop supports USB 2.0 or the hard drive will be worthless. Also, see if you can't find reviews of the product before you buy it. It looks fairly new, so finding reviews may be more difficult.[Edited on March 12, 2006 at 8:50 PM. Reason : .]

how do I know if my computer supports the USB 2.0?
3/12/2006 8:51:42 PM
yes its worth it for 90 bucks. You look up your laptop on the manufacturers website, or break out the documentation that came with it. Is it really that hard to figure out?
3/12/2006 8:53:11 PM
^He's right ... the documentaiton that came with your computer should tell you. If you threw it out (like I usually do), look on the bottom of your comptuer for a serial number, service tag, model number, SOMETHING which can help identify the computer. Go to the manufacturer's website, look it up and it shoudl tell you.Btw, to the tech folks, how much do externals go for at good prices? I know its $0.25/gb or less for internals ... how much for externals?
3/12/2006 8:59:59 PM
well where would I find the information on wheather or not it supports it in the manual and stuff that I have?
3/12/2006 9:04:17 PM
most usb 2.0 are backwards compatible with 1.1 arn't they? just goes slowerI have an external seagate 80 gig and its been finehad two external iomega hdds (uses hitatchi deskstars) go out on me within a year, avoid them.not a bad price, noedit: http://www.jakeludington.com/ask_jake/20051204_how_can_i_tell_if_my_computer_has_usb_20_or_11.htmlfirst result on google[Edited on March 12, 2006 at 9:09 PM.
