its not "written"its on a computer screenmost offices have a set day/timeslot that they will offer the riding testyou take the computer test first, they give you the probationary license, wihch you can drive almost every way on, just no passengerat some point you take the riding test to get your real licensebut they'll let you keep the probationary for 2 years, then you can just tell them you want it for 2 morethe test is MOSTLY common sensebut you can get the book (that has all the answers) in pdf form online or in paper form atthe dmv

You can do the written (computer) test at Avent Ferry. That's where I did mine. thanks; just got my permit today. good for 18 months is fine with me. I got 3 questions wrong out of 23 so although i passed, i still was stumped a couple times.
