i have a dvd burner from my desktop but i sold my desktop computer. can i mount the dvd burner in an enclosure like you can with hard drives? all i have now is my laptop that only has a cdrw and i dont feel like paying to replace that right now.

Yes you can.

Just get one off newegg or some other online store for $30-50.

Look up reviews on "External USB 2.0 Enclosure" off of Newegg. I think I got mine for $35. Nice to have a portable DVD burner / enclosure for fixing HDs as needed.
