me and my boyfriend are goin to the zoo over the next couple days in asheboro, but we wanted a couple more ideas of things to do in either western NC or in SC. anyone got any ideas??? we are leaving tomorrow and coming back on tuesday night.

If you guys are into pottery, go south of asheboro to 705 and spend a day there. Also golf down that direction if you can get a reservation.

Well, since you'll be in Asheboro for the zoo, make a trip to Lexington and have some of their BBQ since it is THE BEST. Also, if you like paintings of rusty coffee cans with dandylions planted in them, visit Bob Timberlake's gallery while you're in town. High Rock Lake and the marina are there too but not terribly exciting.

come visit me in Pittsboro, you'll pass right through on your way to the zoo...we have a really kickass place to eat here too...


also, id suggest the biltmore house in asheville or discovery place in charlotte
