for thinking about selling his student ticket to the duke/unc game for $3,000
3/3/2006 7:35:47 AM
yep. for that much $$ i can watch it on tv.
3/3/2006 7:44:05 AM
yea, i'll take the 3 grand.
3/3/2006 7:46:13 AM
for 3000? you bet your ass
3/3/2006 7:48:23 AM
^
3/3/2006 7:49:34 AM
if i'd been camping out since january, i'd think twice, thats a lot of effort. but after one night of camping out for unc tickets, you better believe I'd take the 3k.

3/3/2006 7:51:33 AM
selling a ticket to the Duke-UNC game: $3000year of tuition to Duke University: about $35000
3/3/2006 7:53:26 AM
3/3/2006 8:27:44 AM
if i had been camping out since january, i'd still take the $3000
3/3/2006 9:30:04 AM
$3,000? Are you serious?I'd sell it for $100 no questions asked.Ive yet to even submit my name in the lottery for a single b-ball game for gods sake.
3/3/2006 9:32:04 AM
Definitely...because I cant imagine how shitty Id feel if I had that opportunity and passed on it only to see us get waxed 95-71.
3/3/2006 9:43:41 AM
3/3/2006 9:47:19 AM
i'd prolly sell mine for 200
3/3/2006 9:56:27 AM
if i went to Duke, i would not sell for $3k
3/3/2006 10:14:21 AM
i wouldnt sell if i went to Duke eitherand no one's gonna offer that amount of money to see an NCSU UNC game
3/3/2006 10:20:26 AM
3/3/2006 10:44:12 AM
3000 dollars will prob pay for that meal ticket over there
3/3/2006 11:17:24 AM
3/3/2006 12:38:38 PM
I hate stories like this. This is America and capitalism is king. You can't just regulate capitalism because "you don't think it's right".The kid should've been able to sell it...and for $3,000 I would've sold it in a heartbeat
3/3/2006 12:46:38 PM
3/3/2006 12:50:06 PM
i was at the dean dome last year for unc's comeback over dook and i wouldn't trade that experience for anything in the world...........except a lot of money. you take the fucking money and don't think twice
3/3/2006 1:01:15 PM
But see the money would come and go, but the memory of the game would last forever. Wait what...Honestly I cannot think of a sporting event that I had tickets too that I would not sell for $3000. Maybe if it was a game in which State was going to win the championship in football or basketball, then I would not sell, but no other 2-4 hour game is worth 3 grand, not even the Super Bowl.[Edited on March 3, 2006 at 1:02 PM. Reason : spl]
3/3/2006 1:02:02 PM
haha, this reminds of me the kid who offered me $100 to the UNC/NCSU game...student ticketi was like, fuck i'll watch it on tv for $100, and my gf is in my ear telling me that we are not missing this game..in hindsight...damn i wish i had gotten rid of that ticket (even though I did cheer and jump up and down until the final buzzer)
3/3/2006 1:48:45 PM
Yeah, I'd probably sell any ticket I had for any sporting event, except if it was one to watch NCSU football play in the national championship game.of course, while i'm in dreamland I think I'll marry Jessica Alba and cruise around in my Ferrari.

3/3/2006 1:59:16 PM
publicity bstrying to hype the game
3/3/2006 2:13:04 PM
Yeah I think it needs more publicitycause I don't think it's getting hyped nearly enough
3/3/2006 2:18:29 PM
Its on like 5 espn channels, and if they had the 'ocho' out already, fucking Lumberg would be announcing the game too.
3/3/2006 2:37:27 PM
shit I'd do it
3/3/2006 3:06:26 PM
3/3/2006 3:10:33 PM
Speaking of which, what's the point of having this game on like 5 channels? Maximize advertiser money?
3/3/2006 3:14:49 PM
that's exactly the reason
3/3/2006 3:16:07 PM
3/3/2006 3:26:48 PM

Stein,There is one place that K consistently doesn't get calls, too bad its Chapel Hill. But then again, if you're him, and there's one gym out of 500 that he's probobly coached in, those aren't bad odds.I can't believe that usher went looking for trouble. However, 3 grand for one ticket, come on, that kid should have seen the sting coming. Just like if you see courtside seats or sky box seats for like 1/4 of face value, they're likely stolen. If something from a buyer/seller standpoint seems to good to be true.....( I did see two behind the basket seats going for 16 hundo though)
3/3/2006 3:43:07 PM
hmmm $3000 for a ticket to watch unc whoop the shit out of my team by 24? tough choice
3/3/2006 4:05:07 PM
That $3,000 could buy a really good seat at the ACC tourney.
3/3/2006 4:29:04 PM
or a ticket to the super bowl
3/3/2006 4:29:39 PM
3g would pay my rent fo the next 5-6 months. wouldnt think twice
3/3/2006 4:58:11 PM
id sell that shit for 300
3/3/2006 8:35:26 PM
fyi i'll give you my first born for 3k, you bet your ass i'll sell a student ticket for that much
3/3/2006 8:39:25 PM
but how would you guys feel if everyone sold their tickets and students stopped getting free tickets?
3/3/2006 11:38:22 PM
tristan patterson. Looks like a typical dook douche.
3/4/2006 11:11:37 AM
Even the guy on College Gameday just now stated that he figured the Duke Business School would recognize the "enterprising" and taking advantage of America's free economy. He's right.
3/4/2006 11:57:57 AM
For a game that big, i wouldnt sell for under 250.You guys can scramble over the quick cash, but its not something i would want to miss (being a senior porbably weighs heavy in my mindset)
3/4/2006 2:11:00 PM
3/4/2006 2:19:51 PM
For $3000 bucks I would of sold that fucker so quick....please no question at all!! What do I care about ticket ethics...3000 bucks....wtf, if someone's willing to pay than hell yeah Id sell that student ticket!!
