A new season deserves a new thread.. It could be an awful long season, but I think that if a few things go right, we should be a better team than last year.LET'S GO O's[Edited on February 26, 2006 at 10:26 PM. Reason : sh]

2/26/2006 11:28:44 PM
Fuck the Nats, O's Fans Holler
2/26/2006 11:46:47 PM
LOD JESUS CAN WE PLEASE WIN MORE GAMES THAN LOSE
2/26/2006 11:48:26 PM
Eight straight losing seasons.. Can Mazzone turn the pitching around? There's a lot of raw talent there, maybe all we've needed is a great pitching coach to get the ball rolling

3/1/2006 12:58:50 PM
Mazzone is the key... he has a little bit to work with and I see Benson as being a bright spot. He consistently logs 200 innings every year and hopefull Mazzone can work some magic with him. Chen needs to build on last year and we need to AVOID injuries. It is an outside shot, but we could make a little noise this year on a cheap budget. GO O's!!
3/1/2006 1:00:48 PM
haha, orioles
3/1/2006 5:57:53 PM
ORIOLES MAGIC!!!
3/1/2006 6:09:06 PM
hopefully kris benson will be focused on baseball next week..it sounds like the rest of the team feels really good about the season. can't wait for opening day

big article on ESPN about Cabrera... anyone have IN and care to post??
4/2/2006 10:57:00 PM
im sure its just gonna tell us what we already know.....he has a powerful arm and now that hes paired with the best pitching coach in the game he will be an automatic 20 game winner
4/2/2006 11:08:05 PM
yeah, but its nice to see the media finally focus on our positives instead of bashing us
4/2/2006 11:12:19 PM
YAY A WIN
4/3/2006 8:07:00 PM
batting lopez and hernandez 8 and 9??? never would have guessed that coming into this yearnot a great start from r.lopez
4/3/2006 8:09:56 PM
yeah lopez struggled a bit but the lineup hit really well and the bullpen pitched well too.....im pumped about seeing bedard and cabrera pitch in a few days
4/4/2006 10:42:07 AM
GO BIRDS
4/4/2006 10:43:15 AM
IMO this season comes down to how much improvement Cabrera can make under Mazzone and if Bedard can pitch like he did the first half of last season.
4/4/2006 12:57:24 PM
i think peter angelos needs to sell the team to someone thats actually a good owner before the orioles will do anything decent
4/4/2006 2:18:00 PM
great analysis
4/4/2006 3:16:38 PM
im going to the game tonite!its supposed to be chilly out!
4/5/2006 8:25:11 AM
to you oriole fans..how much PT is corey patterson going to get this year?
4/5/2006 8:49:25 AM
^ he went 1-4 last night.. it's between him and luis matos. 16-6 over the devil rays, and the o's are 2-0
4/6/2006 7:47:50 AM
it looks like patterson has a hell of an arm. he was making some good throws from center.god damn it was too windy and cold for baseball last nite. buururrrrrr.

I'm not here to talk about steroids or whose mom has cancer, I'm gonna talk about real sports...I'm gonna predict that the O's beat the Devil Rays because the Devil rays have no pitchingRACK ME[Edited on April 7, 2006 at 9:34 AM. Reason : .]

i'm going to the O's - Red Sox game tomorrowshould be a fun time. GO O'S
4/7/2006 9:38:40 AM
woo hoo..just found out that the woman won club level seat tickets for tonites game. ...i wasnt planning on going, but that changes things.
4/7/2006 2:56:58 PM
most of Cabrera's pitches are going in the lower left side of the plate.. definitely not gonna win this one if he continues this way.
4/7/2006 7:46:10 PM
WTF!this is ridiculous!cabrerra's improvement in the off-season was supposed to be a big boost to the pitching staff.. i guess we can flush that right down the shitter
4/7/2006 8:03:28 PM
what a way to start the season.. a 47.25 ERA. Hopefully Mazzone will fix that.
4/7/2006 8:08:34 PM
Well tonight's game might not be going well for you guys so far, but at least you have the luxury of being able to have intelligent discussions with other fans in your official team thread. I envy you guys.
4/7/2006 8:16:47 PM
4/7/2006 10:20:53 PM
i was hoping to base a good season outlook on this series with the bo sox and so far things are still looking up in the air.....our hitting is dismal....but other than the cabrera meltdown, the pitching staff looks like they might pull their end of the bargain this year.....what do you guys think?
4/8/2006 10:26:34 PM
was at the game today, right behind home plategotta say red sox fans show the hell up in baltimore. they are EVERYWHERE. pretty good for a team that was dead in the water for the better part of the 20th century. i asked one guy where the bandwagon was parked, he replied "over by the hype machine." that had me rolling.also there were several girls wearing jewels in their boston hats... on the bills. at one point that same boston fan says to me "i guess that means they're virgins" to which i replied "a virgin red sox whore? fat chance" overall a really fun day at the ballpark, despite the final score. oh, one awesome thing happened: a foul ball was caught by this black guy who then proceeded to stand up, take off his BoSox shirt and O's cap, and reveal a yankees t-shirt, and pulled out a yankees cap. It couldn't have been planned more perfect. hilarious, as everyone was laughing and booing at the same time.GO O's
4/9/2006 10:53:24 PM
back to .500at least we pretty much own the devil rays
4/11/2006 10:47:06 PM
LET's GO O's!!!
4/11/2006 10:56:48 PM
birds are playing pretty well..7-5 and a half game behind the Redsox.I was at the game last night, and I can't remember when I've seen a better game in recent memory. We were down 4-0 in the top of the second, and Rodrigo Lopez got his act together and pitched flawlessly for the rest of the game. 8 total home runs in the game, and long story short, Ramon Hernandez absolutely crushed a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 9th to win it 6-5..Let's go O'sps.. the yankees are last in the division
4/15/2006 11:33:56 PM
wow....we got worked today
4/16/2006 10:33:14 PM
so we're playing pretty well early on...reminds me of last year
4/20/2006 7:21:45 PM
27 runs in the last 2 games. not bad
4/20/2006 11:13:27 PM
anyone notice how there is nobody in the stands.....they are going to have to play really well to start selling tickets again.....GO O's!!!
4/20/2006 11:23:24 PM
either that or the Nats are gonna have to leave DCthats what's killing the Birdsthat, and the fact that they haven't fielded a winning team since what, 96?
4/21/2006 1:22:16 AM
the stands have been pretty full on the weekends.. i don't think many stadiums anywhere have been selling out on week nights, especially this early in the season
