ok now honestly heres the deal

my laptop uses 2100 ddr ram

i got a USED chip off ebay in june of 2004

i got the shit for like 28 bucks AFTER shipping

so not to threadcrap but...19 months after getting a used chip for 28 shipping on ebay, one would assume the price would go down

unless either micron, infineon, or hynix are really good brands or something, the chip i got came out of another dell laptop

^ micron is some of the best out there, infineon is pretty good too. and theres something to be said for buying local vs buying from some anonymous person on ebay. but if no one wants the 256 sticks for $25 then thats cool, i'll hang on to them...not a big deal.

Actually yeah i did find a good deal on newegg. As for present day prices, go to http://www.pricewatch.com and tell me you dont see pc2100 RAM for 18$?? Besides, TWW items generally have a lower value than buying them online , even if its a few bucks. Im not trying to threadcrap, but rather im hoping to make the seller lower his price.

yeah honestly i think synapse's deal is better

when i got that chip that was used off ebay honestly i figured it would work but i wasnt sure

so depending on if you want to spend 28 dollars(2004 prices) for something that doesnt work, or you can spend 20 and the guy would probably even install it so you would know it works
