http://www.hotboat.net/ This place rocks. Great classifieds, "Hot Spots East" is the local crowd. If you want a jet boat I know a guy selling one. Drop me a line if you are interested and I can get you some details.

im on a project budget.
2/24/2006 8:24:55 PM
you and me both... i've got a hard on for a 70's jet boat with a big block. i've got a waverunner that'll do 75+ and get there as fast as you can hang on, but i want more.^^drop me the details y0[Edited on February 24, 2006 at 8:25 PM. Reason : .]

last time i was in a non oceananic boat was a lil bass boat with a built 4.3 and i got hooked. something about doing 80mph across hyco lake and not being able to close your eyelids.
2/24/2006 8:28:45 PM
yeah, it's def. a blast. 75-100 on water is like the thrill of going 125-150 in a car. sure does hurt when you bust ass going any faster than 50-55 though...
2/24/2006 8:30:41 PM
id be happy at 40-50 across the water right now
2/24/2006 9:26:40 PM
do you have the resources for another money pit?
2/25/2006 2:09:08 AM

really? that's pretty impressive for that boat/motor combo if so. i know stingray makes some nice hulls, but that's damn good if it can roll 60+ with that motor.
2/25/2006 10:08:20 PM
yeah, no shit.
2/25/2006 10:12:24 PM
cool and all but all the lakes i go to have waves so if i'm going 70+ its in a stepped deep V
2/26/2006 12:16:27 AM
2/26/2006 3:14:54 AM
they claim low to mid 60's with the setup I've got... I guess we'll see...as for jetski's... hell yeah 60-70 is fun as shit... our 1200XLT does mid 60's no problem with 2 people on it...

Ummmm FWD on a slick boat ramp. Id be a bit carefull with that.
2/26/2006 1:29:54 PM
well that was more of a joke, but the cutlass open diff wont fair much bettergf is looking at moving up to a honda pilot though, thatll do it
2/26/2006 4:46:47 PM
hahaha yeah i saw a fwd get pulled into the water cause the moron was too dumb to hit the brakes and just stomped it harder when he slid back
2/26/2006 5:28:14 PM
hahahah sucks that you people need a truck to pull your shit out of the water.I can pick mine up har har har </troll>
2/26/2006 5:41:29 PM
in that case you wont be needing that awd car thing, you can drop it off over here.

2/26/2006 9:38:25 PM
Its not so much power to pull it around as it is to stop it. Nothing scarier than being pushed through an intersection by your trailer. Also the longer wheelbase vehicle you have keeps the sway to a min.
2/26/2006 9:46:39 PM
^*9.....mid 60s??? what mods you done to it????...or is that just the speedo reading?
2/26/2006 9:56:15 PM
^^ Def. true. In all fairness, we only have to pull the boat a couple hundred yards to put it in. We're not towing it down any public roads. Getting it in is no problem. Getting it out takes some clutch manipulation.
2/26/2006 10:36:21 PM
^^probably the dreamometer.
2/26/2006 11:10:49 PM
Actually, Stingray has some of the most efficient hulls in the business. I remember talking about it about three years back with a friend who is a boat nut.
2/27/2006 8:21:04 AM
^^thats what i figuired.....didnt expect anyone to put triple pipes on a 3 seater around here....
2/27/2006 9:08:29 AM
hopefully my boat will be ready in time for this summer.. i got it real cheap because the interior was rotted out hah its a '94 but was left out in 'storage' for awhile. interior is all reupholstered and finished. motor is looking good now. just need to work on the shiftlinkage and drive related mess.its a 18' w/ a Cobra 3.0 4banger. from what i read its a 130-140hp motor

7/18/2008 5:29:03 PM
so how much power do you need to pull up a skiier on a slalom ski from a deepwater start? (and not some dude who's God's gift to waterskiing...just an average skiier without struggling).
7/18/2008 8:03:13 PM
depends on the hull, prop, weight of the skiier id reckon
7/19/2008 9:23:25 AM
Our boat is in the shop again Two motors = twice the headache.
7/19/2008 10:34:24 AM
