ahhhhh, waxing philosophical on sports talk....

neither Chuck nor Herb have empathy for the fans. they don't realise how important it is for us to beat those guys.in their entire tenure, they've brought the A-game for Duke and FSU. i honestly cannot recall a single time where i could confidently say that they've done the same for Carolina.and despite all that dissapointment, I will be at every game that i am able to attend, and will be cheering on the squad. despite the hopelessness, i choose to continue to push the ball up the hill.don't get me wrong. i don't believe in fate, i believe in odds. i know by being a die-never State fan, that I am continually dealt a hand without any aces. i just refuse to fold.

^i agree with him, regardless of how ill placed this thread is

its not ill placed--its a perspective on how to deal with the realities of being a Wolfpack fanuntil we are baller $tatu$ enough to have an impact, all we will be doing is exercising our catharisis on the internet, to our peers, and other Wolfpackers. we do not yet have the luxury of picking up our basket of wine & cheese, and leaving at halftime to go talk to the old boys about what needs to be done to "fix this".instead of just bitching and moaning, im offering a perspective on how to deal with this and keep goingeven if you have terminal cancer, you don't ever give up. having hope in a hopeless situation isn't foolish. rather its the very substance that makes life possible in a world of entropic chaos.that's what being a part of the Pack is about.i had to reach deep into my innards on a workday to turn these thoughts into words.

aren't sports in general the eternal Sisyphisian struggle, after you win a championship, you have a couple months to enjoy it, then its starting from scratch again, its not like the Mayans that allowed the winners to be sacraficed and allowed to enter their afterlife. It is harder to stay on top then get to the top.

I dabble in Kierkegaard from time to time, but other than that, I'm not big on existentialism.
