http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/02/22/meangirl.convicted.ap/index.htmlPrior to reading the article, I thought - what 17 year old could do this? Then I saw thisWHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THE CHILDREN?! I remember when girls were pissed off at each other, worst thing they'd do is spread a rumor - not their body parts across 2 counties.
2/22/2006 11:55:16 PM
damn, white people are fucked up.
2/23/2006 12:08:41 AM
that's just insane, horrible, and terribly sad... no other way to say it.
2/23/2006 12:19:43 AM
she was a six-sigma anomaly
2/23/2006 12:22:27 AM
I agree with stargazer19
2/23/2006 12:23:03 AM
what kind of dumbass writes in a journal that they're going to kill someone?
2/23/2006 12:23:51 AM
same kind of dumbass that kills someone over a boy
2/23/2006 12:24:57 AM
I'm going to be so overprotective of my children... I'm going to be that parent that I once swore I would never be, mainly because of something awful like this. Someone's child was just killed because some psychotic little bitch didn't want her to like a certain boy.
2/23/2006 12:27:42 AM
there is more to it than that, the dude supposedly helped her out. seems to make it even more twisted.
2/23/2006 12:36:53 AM
2/23/2006 12:52:18 AM
people are fucking idiots, i hope she enjoyed ruining her life over some needle dick high school punk
2/23/2006 1:12:58 AM
2/23/2006 1:28:36 AM
interesting - I just read that women commit more murders out of jealousy than men.
2/23/2006 1:34:36 AM
that's slightly erotic
2/23/2006 2:14:44 AM
This is the problem with unpremeditated murder-- these kids don't think ahead. Not just about prison, but better ways to hide the body and how not to talk about it in one's journal.
2/23/2006 6:23:01 AM
^^^,^^I think that's the best followup post I've seen in awhile...Btw, why is a news story? A single murder in the USA gets attention ... why?
2/23/2006 7:01:57 AM
I think it's big because of the mutilation and the opportunity for CNN to use a popular movie title in the story's URL.
2/23/2006 7:08:08 AM
What the fuck kind of world am I living in that some dumb kid even has to ask why a murder gets attention?
2/23/2006 8:27:50 AM
stargazer is going to be that overly protective parent....whos kid murders someone over a boy and cuts the body into pieces.[Edited on February 23, 2006 at 8:40 AM. Reason : .]

So, at your highschool - when Tina hooked up with Gina's boyfriend... did Gina kill her?
2/23/2006 10:27:45 AM
^ This is obviously happening all the time all over the country and things were so much better back in the old days that you remember.Oh wait, you're 24-26 years old...The "old days" were probably the Columbine Massacre.Nothing has changed except the media and/or your exposure to it. I know that is shocking, but take a few minutes to let it sink in.[Edited on February 23, 2006 at 10:48 AM. Reason : .]

Of course people have been killing people -- but REALLY do you think teenage girls killing - slaughtering other teenage girls, especially over something so trivial, was so prevelant 10, 15,20, 30 years ago?
2/23/2006 10:59:48 AM
One incident does not make it prevalent.
2/23/2006 11:30:32 AM
shit like this happened 10, 15, 30 and 100 years agoCNN didn't cover it as much back then
2/23/2006 11:33:46 AM
I don't think that teen violence is anything 'unusual' or 'new.' I think that it really probably is the media exposure that these incidents now get. Once upon a time, we wouldn't have ever heard about something as trivial as a murder in the mid-west. Not only that, a lot of crimes use to go unsolved because of the lack of technology we had just 20 years ago. Some of the Cold Case murders I have seen solved on A&E are teen violence crimes that just could not be solved with the level of technology that they had prior to the 90s. *shrugs* Just a thought.

I hope she gets the maximum sentence. Then she will be 77 when she gets out and almost dead. Then I hope someone beats her, chokes her, burns her, cuts her up, and kills her cats.
2/23/2006 12:00:17 PM
Must have been a slow newsday - Perlith is right, murders happen all the time. Why do we suddenly hear about this one like it's all special and shit?Just to clarify - when someone says things like this, they mean no disrespect to the people involved. We should wonder about these things regardless of whether we're shocked and feel sympathy or not.[Edited on February 23, 2006 at 12:09 PM. Reason : ]

2/23/2006 4:40:03 PM
hmm...right after Columbine there was this girl at my high school that had a hit list with peoples' names listed on it. Her friend saw it and told on her though. That girl was psychotic.
