Lawyers says that though NC law says markers are NOT gun, and requires no liscensing to buy them, own them, or operate a range for them, raleigh says they are a gun and illegal to shoot other than at 'certified' pantball ranges.

most all laws do NOT equate them to real guns but do prohibit the firing of them within city limits.

Right now, airsoft guns are still considered toys and are completely unregulated.

it's kinda funny cuz airsoft guns look much more like real weapons than most pb guns.

and paintballs cranked up over the safe limit can really cause some serious wounds kbbrown3. the most serious injuries might only come from getting hit in the eye, ear, temple, throat, or nuts, but they can easily leave large/bleeding bruises. that all can happen at a field too, out on the street you can crank a gun up to 50-100% higher fps.

This boils down to the same type of crap we see on TWW like 5 times a day. Some passive-agressive neighbor gets annoyed at paintballs hitting tin cans in the next door backyard. Instead of handling it like an adult and asking the kid to stop he decides to be a little bitch and call the cops.

We need to start teaching confrontation classes in public school. Why is everyone so goddamned afraid of it?

HA! my old roomate had guns pulled on him by the RPD for shooting a bb gun behind our apartment. he was scared shitless. it was like a movie, one of em flanked him and the other crouched behind his door with his gun aimed at my roomie.

of course, a bb gun looks somewhat like a real gun. a paintball gun looks, MAYBE, like a gun out of a video game.
