So on my way to class today I dropped my month old ipod and the damn thing wont play songs/reset/computer won't recognize it and it wont stay on for more than about 10 seconds. So, I'd pay anyone to fix it for me, or if someone has a 20 gig ipod like mine that they would want to sell me, I'd buy it. Guess I should have bought a warranty with it. Thanks

If you go to the Apple Store at Southpoint in Durham, they have a "Genius" section where the Apple guys can try to fix your iPod. don't know if it costs anything, and try to avoid going Saturdays. I went with a friend last weekend, and you have to make an appointment on one of the Macs in the store with a "Genius" . You either wait in the store and be bored, or else leave your phone number and they can call your cell phone if you're around the mall. However, we got there around 3:45 and the next available appointment was at 5:20.

Sigh.1) it has a waranty2) Did you try restoring it? http://www.apple.com/support/ipod3) If you're heading to the Apple store to have it checked out, do yourself a favor and log in to the que before you go:http://www.apple.com/retail/southpoint4) If it looks like you dropped it, they'll probably tell you you're SOL. Turn it in for 10% of a new iPod and then don't drop the new one.
