I've got to see it to believe it.. those accel numbers gotta be on wrinkle-wall drag slicks

Jesus. 12.9 litre V8? Are you kidding me? To put that in other units, that's approximately 787 cubic inches. Each of the 8 cylinders has almost as much displacement as an older Civic. How much does this thing weigh, anyway? Obviously it's a drag monster and not a corner carver, but I imagine the F/R weight distribution to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 70/30. Still, what a thrill ride....[Edited on February 22, 2006 at 5:57 PM. Reason : Maybe that's where the "780cui" comes from. Haha.]

ever driven one? i bet the motor is aluminum and because most of the motor is behind the front wheels i bet the weight distribution isn't that bad or it wouldn't accelerate with those numbers.i've driven a 460 powered one that was iron w/ aluminum heads... probably the most nose heavy you can get. and it would carve a corner like no ones buisness cause when it comes down to it... it has a ton of tire and not much weight. now... it snapped into overstear and wasn't the most balanced car but it had more grip than one could believe... people don't like getting passed by a bigblock powered car going into a turn. i promise it will probably out break everything and out accelerate anything... the trick is keeping the car pointed in the right direction just passed the apex... but again this was a superformance one i drove.... so i could be way off and this could be very different but i doubt it.

who gives a shit about cornerning when you have 13L engine????
2/22/2006 6:15:54 PM
that hood scoop looks like shit though... they should have went with 6 litres 2 turbos and efi..... could have made more powah too and possibly lighter.ohh yeah and i forgot that cornering hard with sideways carbs might choke out the motor.... damn....[Edited on February 22, 2006 at 6:24 PM. 2/22/2006 6:59:50 PM
its soo ugly.
2/22/2006 7:21:12 PM

^ oh dag pwntBump for another amazing design. Too bad only 15 are going to be made I imagine we are definately looking at mid to high 6 figures, if not 7 for this baby?
2/22/2006 9:07:58 PM
i think better could be built for less based off the superformance kit.... i've seen a 351 tt with 345 series street tires run sub 10 quartermiles.
2/22/2006 9:20:51 PM
i want to see a video or at least hear a soundclip.
2/22/2006 9:37:48 PM

2/22/2006 9:40:56 PM
HOW MUCH DOES SOMETHING LIKE THIS COST?
2/22/2006 9:44:49 PM
only 15 made....im guessing in multi-million range
2/22/2006 9:59:40 PM
OK THEN YES, I COULD BUILD SOMETHING BETTERALONG WITH SUMF001WE WILL BE A TEAM.
2/22/2006 10:00:54 PM
relax y0
2/22/2006 10:01:50 PM
dude i didn't say i could... though a 1000hp 8000 rpm motor makes me hard even though its a chevy
2/22/2006 10:02:25 PM
with that kinda money, you could build anything and make it run 10s[Edited on February 22, 2006 at 10:10 PM. Reason : like working with a supra burnt from scratch]
2/22/2006 10:09:50 PM
well veyron runs 9 or 10s ...this runs probably 7's or 8's
2/22/2006 10:15:55 PM
BUT CAN IT TURN?
2/22/2006 11:14:45 PM
that's badass

2/23/2006 3:14:21 AM
i say its sweet, and i'll take it if noone else wants it
2/23/2006 3:18:05 AM
god i wish that was the new bond car or something
2/23/2006 4:07:15 AM
haha it redlines:86mph132mph205mph273mphwith that much power, I dont see too big of a problem with that transmission it's a like a power glide
2/23/2006 8:39:11 AM
well yeah, the dizzy's in the back and all...more like a custom block though right?best way to make a ford run right?...put a chevy in it...actually happens a lot more often than vice versaand that gear box is absolutely fine...who wants to shift gears 5 or 6 times when each gear lasts a VERY small interval at the rate that thing revs
2/23/2006 9:16:24 AM
i dont care..its still is ugly
2/23/2006 10:03:57 AM
You can make something run sub 10s for less than 20 grand. Not too hard to do.
2/23/2006 10:25:43 AM
^^ can this guy be banned from the garage?
2/23/2006 11:16:26 AM
2/23/2006 11:19:21 AM
to accelerate even faster, although I'd bet the limits of tire come into play, and still maintain a ridiculous topend. I want to know how a car moves this quickly with an open roof, the dynamics just don't add up. It'd need a lot more than 1100hp
