I want to see it, but I think the comic's way overrated (at least among Alan Moore's other works).

I mean, it's good. In the grand scheme of things, it's above the median quality for a comic book. But it's super derivative, super dated, and super...a third thing.

Wouldn't november 5th be a more appropriate release date?

i'm worried that the media will politicize it's message into a left vs. right thing

so i'll probably only see it if i manage to avoid reviews and media coverage.

"V for Very Good? OK…that was dumb, but yes, I liked this movie a lot.
Compared to the previews I expected more action scenes, but the lack of them didn’t take away from the movie. The message behind this movie is completely political, I don’t think I have to tell you that. The quote that stuck with me the entire film was, “If there are enough people there, an exploding building can change the world”…..

I thought Hugo Weaving did an incredible job portraying his character. I know some of you are thinking, “he’s wearing a mask, he doesn’t have to do crap but talk”. No, IDIOT!….That only makes it harder for him. For his character to have any…well….CHARACTER his acting ability has to really shine for you to buy into him. Natalie Portman was awesome as always. She’s pretty, yes.

The fight scenes that are in the movie are incredible looking and up to par to the Wachowski name. The story isn’t anything new of course. It’s big brother, the government becoming too controlling, it’s revenge, it’s a love story, all neatly packed together with some awesome action and funny dialogue. Enjoy!

I feel it’s worth watching "

"I agree with Thor, but I rate this a definate Must See. Brillant. Say it out loud so you can hear how good this movie is. After what seems like an unending stream of horrible futuristic movies (Ultraviolet, I’m talking about you), this one shows how it should be done. The domino scene gave me chills. Nothing new politically, but unlike 1984, Equilibrium and Blade Runner, V shows how short a step it is from today (police and compel bookstores to tell them what books and magazines you buy) to a very, very scary place where the country is run by a small group of greedy men. Does anyone know how to pronounce “Wachowski?”"

from moviesbythor.com - i really wanna see this movie!
