I'm looking for an alternative to the $200-$400 stand to hold a 50" DLP. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

sams club has some ok ones that matched specific TV's.I bought a cheap one for like 100 at circuit city that was meant to be a rectangle and then cut the top and had glass made so it would fit in a corner.I don't think you are going to find something for less then 100~150 that you would want to put a tv on.Basset furniture has some cool ones in the "john elway" line that are pretty good looking and affordable for a real furniture store but they are in the 150~200 range.

furniture is marked up like crazy, going cheap doesnt mean bad quality. just look at the build quality/informed2cents

yes, ive built a lot of furniture and have seen the cheap shit. but ive also seen the overpriced, hugely marked up best buy shit that isnt any better.

I've been looking around myself for a 52" LCD Projection... the only stands I found that did not seem "cheap" were nice wooden stands costing $500+I can find plenty of stands for $150-200 that I would consider buying based on quality but they are all for 42" TVs.

I think the part under the TV was $129 and the tower was $99 or the other way around from Target

I have yet to go to a Target but I do know that what they have on their websites (Wally World and Target both) is not at all what they will have in your local store.
