So I went to NTB in Cary on Sunday to get new tires put on my car. I looked at them today and noticed something was different about the sidewall designs between the two sides of the car. Looked closer and realized that two had plain sidewalls behind the lettering, and two of them had a pattern. And the word "outside" molded into the sidewall.I do believe they may have mounted two of the tires backwards.D'oh.

Going to do it tomorrow, too late tonight.Do you think any damage has been done? They had to special order the tires (225/60 VR-16 Kumho Ecsta ASX), 'twould be annoying to have to wait another week to get it fixed.

it is annoying, but no damage done (especially in just a few days). you'll be surprised how many cars have the tires put on "inside out". this usually happens to non-directional tires

What exactly is the definition of a directional tire? On these, the tread sort of converges down the center, so that the "V" made across by the treads is pointing in one direction on the driver's side and another direction on the passenger side. Not sure if that qualifies or there's more to it.Good that there's probably no damage done. Maybe I can get a discount out of it...
