I made this thread for Genetics students here on TWW. We can exchange information regarding the course, especially the REPORTS. By doing so and corroborating on a regular basis, we shall all get an A I believe. Nobody communicates via WebCT vista, so I thought this may be of help.

Next Report is 4 and 5. I am starting on report 4.

What do you guys think?

It irritates me how those taking the lab with the TA have it so much easier than those taking the lab with Gardner

Reports 4, 5 and a midterm due next week?! That's ridiculous!

Better memorize your formulas for constructing a loci chart (r1, r2, C, etc.) I had forgotten to do that and it probably cost me the better part of 20 pts, oh well fuck it.

I can't say anything else in here since Dr. Gardner specifically said not to disclose information on the test, and I don't want to violate acadmeic integrity. Accordingly, I won't say anything else in this thread about it.

I think some professors need to review the course credits and degree of work involved... This is a one credit hour course and I feel the workload they're asking us to do for this course is ridiculous. This lab has got to be the worst lab I've ever taken in all of the labs I've taken for my biological sciences degree (I graduate in May).

Hanykypank is sooo right!!!....I graduate in May as well and this lab sucks ASS. We should at least get 3 credits for it. The midterm is harder than the original genetics class. This lady is on a power trip, take it easy woman, its only a freakin' LAB.

Academic Integrity?

Oh, yeah that is right, I posted the answers to the fill in the blanks, and where is the integrity in COPYING???? Dude, come on! Don't use these covert sayings, we know you did bad!

I think you guys need to relax, even though i know it is hard, but face it, it is only 1 credit, so if you get an A, B, C, it is either 4 points, 3 points, 2 points total (e.g. 4 X 1 credit=4points).

Indeed this lab is loathsome.

hey everyone... all I'm sayin is... watch what you say on here. A few points on a lab isn't gonna be worth it if the wrong person finds this thread.

Still a shitty-ass lab. I absolutely dread going to this lab.

yeah this is absolutely ridiculous for a 1 credit hour lab. I have not taken genetics so I don't really feel on top of this stuff especially when she lectures for an hour and a half going on and on with new material.

why are they both so picky about grading (Emigh and Gardner). I thought Knopp was bad until I came to Emigh's class, and then I thought Emigh was bad until I met Gardner. Uggh!

You guys ready?

I am just gonna study the problem types listed in the review packet. The other semantics are too much, especially for a freakin' 1 hour class.

Good luck to all.

Dr. Gardner,

I was wondering if you would be able to send me the solutions to the exam
review so that I could check over my work. It would be greatly
appreciated. I do not know if the door is locked to the room where the
answers are posted and did not want to venture out in the rain without
knowing so.

Thank you,
Me

Her Response:

I am not emailing that file. It is posted outside my office and outside
the lab. The door is probably locked at this time but should be open 8-5
daily

why can't they just be helpful?

grades currently in retrieve past semester section of packtracs...I hope everybody make it throught relatively unscathed

B is just fine for me

and I'm amazed AFGASN got a B+, I had thought that she didn't use the +/- grading system (at least that's what I had got from previous students)
